S & S INSTALLATION

We first worked with Sam years ago and were very happy with his work and his character. We later hired someone else to do tile work for us who was cheaper and were not pleased. At this point, we would not use anyone except Sam for tile installation. He is a hard worker and has a can-do attitude about everything. He made a threshold for our slate where it met up with wood flooring and it looks like it has always been there. He does excellent work and is extremely trustworthy and reliable.

I appreciated that they were willing to patch rather than replacing the whole shower. We've used them in the past, and have always had a good experience.

This was a great experience. It was difficult to find someone even willing to do the work as there were loose tiles and some question as to wall damage behind the tiles, and because for most, it was not a large enough job. Sam was very knowledgeable about the situation and was not worried about what he would find once he started work (unlike others). He knew how to fix any potential damage he might find. He gave the most detailed estimate I've ever received which included ALL the work that was going to be done (by area) and what supplies were provided. The work was beautifully done; the shower and tub surround look brand new. Sam showed up on time and had the job completed in the time frame given. I would hire him again without hesitation.

HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY. ARRIVED TO GIVE ME A QUOTE ON THE WORK WHICH ON THE PHONE SAID COULD NOT BE DONE FOR ABOUT 6 WEEKS. WHEN HE SAW THE WORK TO BE DONE AGREED IT WAS A VERY SMALL BUT NECESSARY JOB AND OFFERED TO DO IT RIGHT A WAY. HE USED THE EXISTING TILE BOARD AFTER CLEANING IT UP AND SET IT. HE ONLY CHARGED ME THE TRIP CHARGE OUT. WHAT A REFRESHING EXPERIENCE!

SAM IS GREAT TO WORK WITH. HE IS EXTREMELY ORGANIZED AND PUNCTUAL. HE TELLS YOU EXACTLY WHEN HE IS COMING AND WHAT HE WILL BE DOING. WHEN HE GIVES YOU HIS BID, HE LISTS EVERY COST, EVERYTHING HE SUPPLIES, AND EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO SUPPLY (TILE, GROUT,CAULK ETC.) THERE IS NO GUESSWORK. HE IS ALSO VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND REALLY GIVES VALUABLE ADVICE AND IDEAS. THE TILE WORK IS BEAUTIFUL, AND WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN NEARLY AS NICE IF HE HADN'T MADE A NUMBER OF SUGGESTIONS. WE WILL USE HIM AGAIN FOR ANY FUTURE TILE WORK.

SAM NEWLUND WAS PROFESSIONAL, THOROUGH & KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE PROVIDED A WRITTEN ESTIMATE, CONFIRMED APPOINTMENTS IN WRITING, AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM & PROCESS FOR FIXING THE TILE IN LANGUAGE MY HUSBAND & I COULD UNDERSTAND. HE'S EXCEPTIONAL.

FOR THE GROUT COLOR HE USED A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER AND THOUGHT THE GROUT COLOR WOULD MATCH. HOWEVER, IT DID NOT. HE ALSO BROKE A TILE DURING THE RE-GROUTING PROCESS. HE VERY WILLINGLY CAME OUT TWO ADDITIONAL TIMES AT NO CHARGE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY CORRECTIONS AND SEEMED GENUINELY CONCERN THAT I BE SATISFIED WITH THE JOB.

COMPLETED JOB CAREFULLY, ARRIVED TO WORK ON TIME AND TOLERATED A HOUSEHOLD WITH PETS NICELY. HE WAS POLITE AND COMPLETED WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER AT THE PROPOSED COST. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

SAM WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL. HARD WORKER. RATED HIM A B FOR CLEANLINESS. HAD SPOTS ON MY CARPET STAIRS FROM HIM RUNNING BACK AND FORTH TO THE GARAGE TO CUT TILE. I SHOULD HAVE ASKED HIM TO LAY A DROP CLOTH OVER THE STAIRS. THE SPOTS CAME OUT OF THE CARPET. I WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN.

THEY DO SMALL REPAIR JOBS. THEY WERE PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, AND FIXED A PROBLEM THAT A PLUMBER HAD ALREADY CHARGED US $1000 TO FIX AND DIDNT

SAM RUNS A PERSONAL BUT PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS WITH DETAILED ESTIMATES AND GREAT COMMUNICATION. HE IS TRUSTWORTHY AND RELIABLE AND A TRUE CRAFTSMAN.

WE HAD SEVERAL ESTIMATES ON THE WORK IN THE PAST,AND NOT ONLY WAS THE COST HIGHER, BUT IT HAS BEEN DIFFICULT TO FIND SOMEONE WITH THE SAME LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE.

EXCELLENT COMPANY TO WORK WITH. SHOWED UP AS SCHEDULED AND DID A GREAT JOB.

HE IS SO GOOD THAT HE IS VERY BUSY, ABOUT A 2 MONTH WAIT, BUT WELL WORTH IT!!!
