The job turned out better then I ever could of hoped for. Clint was amazing he saw possibilities with the project that I would never of come up with. My house is beautiful now. Thanks to Clint Zane owner of Zane Craft homes your my hero.

Zanecraft did a wonderful job helping us replace all of our windows. He worked with us to discuss various windows options and recommended the right windows for what we needed and could afford. We have a modified two story, so there were some pretty high windows to replace. They were willing to work with us to preserve the indoor trim to help cut costs and save us from extra interior work. Clint was very professional and friendly to work with and would definitely use them again.

We have a mission-style home that was built in 1914 that had a flat roof that was failing and causing water to leak into an antique first-floor built-in cabinet. Clint knew that in order to do a roof replacement right, he would also have to fill in an old 100 year old door that was on the second story because that was where the water was coming in. It takes an expert to catch these things and know the right course of action, especially with an antique home with priceless woodwork inside. It has to be done right and done well. I was very nervous about the whole job because I love my older home and I wanted to the work done on our home to match the style and quality of the 1914 woodwork throughout the house. This is late Victorian/Mission style woodwork that is hard to match in quality, but Zanecraft Homes did a superb job and kept me at ease. Clint's carpenter, Brian, is experienced, detail-oriented, whip-smart and gave me peace of mind that our project was going to be done right. Once I saw him work, I stopped worrying and was very impressed at the final project. Not only did he fill in an exterior door that was over 100 years old up to 2015 Saint Paul City Code, but he also made the new wall look very classy and like it fit the rest of the room. From the outside the new door panel blends with the exterior of the home and fits the era of the home. Brian was also very thoughtful in dealing with our dog and two cats who were very upset by all the work in the home, and went the extra mile to get to know our dog so he wouldn't be so uneasy and to keep our cats out of the room with all of the work being done.

Zanecraft Homes does a class act job! Not only was the quality of the work superb, I felt as though I was taken care of like family. Zanecraft Homes replaced a flat roof that probably needed to be replaced at least five years ago. There are a lot of parts of our home that have been neglected before we purchased it, and we are slowly but surely restoring this gem to its past glory. This flat roof is probably the most difficult job so far because it was so deteriorated and overdue for replacement. The bottom of the existing roof material was just inches away from the ceiling material in the room below, and the roofers were able to tear down and rebuild the new roof without disturbing the ceiling of a large room underneath. The roofing material was laid with no creases, a lot of attention to detail on the edges, and new gutter clips. The workers were prompt, professional, and very focused on their work. There was always a supervisor directing the work and holding the quality standards high, and Clint himself came to double check on the project as it progressed. This roof looks sharp and like it will last a very long time. The most important part to me was that Clint made sure to have all of his documentation and representation there for the city inspection and really was able to show the inspector everything he needed to know without any confusion. You can tell he knows what he is doing and that he is not going to waste anyone's time. We live in St. Paul, and know how picky the inspectors can be, so when the inspector is really impressed with the job, you know you hired someone great. I know how hard all of this was to do and how picky I am, so to be this impressed means a lot. Zanecraft Home professionals made this difficult job look easy, and I would trust them with any job in your home.

I made a stupid choice back in 2012 and hired some joker off of Craigslist to build me a fence. Well, after 2 years I was super frustrated with how our gate worked and had Zanecraft Homes send a guy out to build a new one. He did a great job and built a gate on the existing posts that works like the first one should have and I could not be more pleased. Our neighbor was spying on him (without me asking him to) and he told me Clint's guy was double measuring everything and being very careful and worked hard the whole day. Because one of the posts was put in crooked and I didn't want to re-do a post, Clint came back a few weeks later to make an adjustment after things had settled and one of the posts that the person 2 years ago installed had put in had warped a little with the new gate. This adjustment was free of charge even though Clint could have charged us for it. This is why I like using him as our contractor--I can trust him to do the right thing even if it's not the most convenient.

Allowed to go longer before service agreement stated in order for me to get materials, however, communication after that was none to slow. Specifics I asked about did not send someone equipped to do the job in a timely manner and with correct tools along. Actual work done was good, though.

When I contacted Zanecraft Homes to have our deck replaced, Clint worked with the insurance adjuster. They met and since they understand each other's jobs, they worked together to make this a very easy process for us. The paperwork and effort on my part was minimal and we now have a beautiful new deck completed in a timely manner. Work site was cleaned up at the end of each day and work completed in a very timely manner. We can now enjoy our new deck for the rest of the summer season. Thank you Clint for making this an easy process for us.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was a little bit awkward. We had a really hard time with scheduling and I ended up just getting it done about a week ago. Actually I finally asked him for my money back and that's when he decided to come out and do the job. I paid for the materials, but that was agreed on. When he was there it went beautifully. He was wonderful once he got there. He had good ideas and he was very professional on the job.

I called Clint to inquire about him performing our home theater install. He offered to come out right away to take a look at what the job would take to complete, and offered to start on it the following day. Talk about prompt service! It was because we weren't quite ready that he came out the following week to do the work. He was on time and ready to get to work. In no time he had our television hanging on the wall. It was when he started to work on running the wiring through the wall for the surround sound speakers that he started running into snags. A wall in the attic posed a problem for him to get the wiring to one of the speakers and after a couple measurements and finding a really long drill bit, he was able to solve the problem. He even dropped his cell phone in the insulation in the attic and after fashioning a tool to retrieve it, was able to fish it out. Even with several hurdles getting in his way, he was able to come up with creative solutions to the problems and still finish the job in a timely manner, and his work looks great!He is very polite and professional. I am very happy with my experience with Clint, and wouldn't hesitate to use his services again! In fact, I look forward to it.

I had a very good experience with them. I have used them for my contractor for quite a few things. They provide good quality work for a good price. I had no issues with the last service. He does top quality work and has put in a deck, done some siding work and installed a dishwasher for me in the past.

Zanecraft has not delivered anything but delays, excuses and avoidance. I am extremely disappointed and very much interested in a refund.

Couldn't ask for much more. I was an electrician before, and worked along side a lot of different contractors. Clint was one of the best that I've ever worked with. We were put on the "waiting list" as there were multiple people in front of us to have work done, but Clint checked in by phone or in person just to see how we were doing and if we had any questions in the weeks before the work was to be done. When his guys came out to put the deck in, they were great. On time, friendly, and knew what they were doing. Within 2 days the deck was up and looking great. Clint came out to inspect his own company's work and did not like the concrete pad at the base of the stairs. I thought it was fine, but he did not like the finish on it, so he had his guys come out and re-do it. Total perfectionist. It is great to see that because you know they're not just in it to take your money. Clint could've easily left the slab, but he chose to re-do it which was more money on his end to do. I am extremely happy with Zanecraft in every aspect and would not hesitate to give them a call the next time I need work done.

My experience with Zanecraft homes has been very positive. Clint is very professional and always follows up on the work. All the work was done in a timely manner and I'm impressed by the quality. I'm going to be scheduling a few more projects soon.

Right away he offered to come out and take a look at my project. We scheduled the work for dates that were out a bit, but when they came he was punctual and prepared. He assessed the structure and applied caulk to prevent more water coming in, as well as installed new wood working in the area of the door and entry window. He also replaced my dead bolt door handle and lock. He made the extra effort to go back to the store for a part that wasn't quite right for my project. He was very, very responsive to my initial request for service and all the way along on the project timeline. He took a look through my house before leaving and gave me some ideas of other projects he could do for me to help spruce up my house. I liked that he has a "handy man by the hour" rate, which would be a flexible way of completing some of my home projects. I would not hesitate to call on him again!

The work was done well enough and only went over by a few days however, the contractor was very disorganized and took no responsibility for thing that went wrong with him or his crew. In one instance I told him to have the dumpster placed on the cement in the driveway. When I came home it was placed in the yard on the grass and the truck driver had run over electrical wiring that used to go to the garage. When I confronted him about this he said that I never said that and that I could just buy a bag of grass seed to fix it. Another instance is when they were working on the living room. They had taped plastic over the opening of the living room to keep the dust from getting to the rest of the house. All my furniture had been shoved into the dining room and den. After taking down most of the plaster they took down the plastic. The dust from the drywall and the sanding got everywhere. There was a thick layer of it on all my furniture and even some got upstairs. My father works construction so I knew this was beyond excessive. When I asked him to pay for someone to come in and clean it up he said that it was my fault because I didn't put plastic over it. He saw no problem with it and said that if he did get someone to clean he would charge me for it. It took me a solid week to clean the furniture, floors, walls, and other things. When the crew was doing the siding outside they were also cutting aluminum for the trim on the exterior of the house. After the work was completed I asked for them to clean up the shavings and scrap. Now that the snow has melted I look around my yard and there is aluminum everywhere. I managed to pick up most of the big pieces but the smaller shavings are buried in the grass now. The last major situation I will mention is the exterior light fixtures. I bought new ones to replace the old ones and the siding crew put them back on. However about a month later the motion light stopped working. My brother took it off and looking inside there were burn marks. The person on the crew that put the lights on did not ground them or use the rubber seal and it could have started a fire. My brother had to remove the siding (that wasn't nailed down!) to fix the horrible wiring job they did so the light actually works now. Overall the work was decent but the lack of organization and attention to detail made this whole process so much worse than it could have been. There are many other instances that I could mention but these are the main ones. The contractor was apologetic about some of the issues and tried to make amends but it just became too much to keep forgiving. He did do several things that would have cost more or were not necessary that I did appreciate. Coating old trim that I wanted to keep to protect it, painting an accent wall for free, and a couple other things I can't remember at the moment. The insurance company did not want to pay for many of the things that needed to be fixed. The contractor was able to get them to accept most of the stuff that needed to get fixed until it came to the siding then I had to step in because they wouldn't budge.

The entire remodeling experience was wonderful with Zanecraft. Clint Zane is professional, responsive, and has a designer's eye. He was able to talk me off the ledge while making excellent accommodations for an awkward space. I couldn't have asked for a better contractor. He turned my spooky attic into a glamorous dressing room.

Everything went without a hitch

Several installs, replacements and repairs. NEVER a problem with timeliness or cost. Have used Zanecraft for several years and will continue to do so.

I gave Clint a call and explained the job to be done. Within the week we had someone scheduled to come out which was great. The person who was scheduled to come out was punctual, knowledgeable, and was very respectful of our needs--he did everything perfectly for us even after we made a more difficult suggestion of where the dishwasher should go! He even put our cabinets back together in a tasteful and efficient manner so they look nice and are functional. Most of all, the job was done in a timely manner and was extremely affordable for what was done which is really important to us as new homeowners with a mile-long honey-do list.

We bought a new entry door on craig's list and thought the installation of it would be pretty straightforward. Fortunately for us, we met Clint Zane at a sporting event and decided to have him install our door instead of attempting it ourselves. We would have been frustrated to tears had we attempted the project ourselves. Upon the start of the installation, it was discovered that our old/original door was an odd size. Clint Zane, who came out to do the project himself, was not surprised nor did he act upset- even though we know this added considerable time and a trip for extra materials. I expressed that my house must be cursed, that none of our house projects are ever as easy as I think they should be. Clint responded that he never expects any project to be straighforward. It was nice to hear from someone with so much experience that it's not just my house that has endless issues. Even with all the added work that re-sizing the entryway frame required, the project was still completed before we had expected it to be- and it was completely completed- with perfectly matching new interior trim and no need for me do any wall repair! Clint was a perfectionist and every detail was addressed. I will very likely be using Clint Zane's company in the future and although for our next project (a deck) I won't have Clint himself, I trust that he holds his people to the same standards he holds himself. Clint is honest and hardworking and I know his company stays busy. If you catch them during a busy time- as I did- it's worth the wait.
