Spee-Dee Delivery has been one of the worst vendor experiences I've had the misfortune to deal with. My wife purchased a beer of the month club for me. An amazing gift for a craft beer lover like myself.
I received a notice on our door Friday that said that they had sent my package back to the vendor due to them trying to deliver 3 times and no one being home. However, I hadn't received any notice up until that point. The prior two days had rain, so I'm just assuming that the driver didn't want to get wet so he cut corners the previous two attempts. Whatever the reason, this completely blindsided me.
Either way, I attempted to deal with their "customer service" and, after eventually getting the correct phone number (the number on their label on the door was not correct), waiting 20 minutes on hold, I finally got ahold of their customer service. They basically told me it was too late and they wouldn't do anything to make up for their poor service. I'd have to work with the vendor to see if I could get my delivery again.
This was by far the WORST customer service I've ever received and sickening service. HORRIBLE!! Avoid this place like the plague!!
Wed. evening (Nov. 21) our turkey was delivered by Spee Dee Delivery Service. The driver (a very nice person) informed us that our turkey spent Tues. night/Wed. morning sitting on the floor of their warehouse (in Bloomington, Illinois) - it was not refrigerated. He said that he talked to his state manager, and that I should contact Spee Dee to have them replace our turkey.
I contacted Spee Dee and spoke to the State manager, Mark Lee. I told him about the situation. I also told him that the label on the box read "PERISHABLE FROZEN TURKEY". He told me that they have so many packages coming through their warehouse that they don't have time to read shipping labels. (Funny, isn't shipping their business?) However, he also stated that they weren't going to take responsibility for the turkey. A very disturbing conversation. Unbelievable.
