SR TREE

They did a horrible job, they took a rake and stole a ball from us, they were drinking beer, they were guys with chain saws. They did not show up when they were suppose to. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone.

We hired the company for the work due to a recommendation. We are new to the area and didn't realize that May is a terrible time to trim red oaks. A month and a half after the red oak was trimmed, it lost leaves, and we discovered it had Oak Wilt. It cost over $1600 to have the tree removed and the surrounding ones injected with Alamo by a reputable company, Rainbow Tree. SR was either negligent in not advising us about the ramifications of trimming the red oak in May or ignorant about the effects; it's hard to say which is more negative. I contacted the owner. He did come to our home promptly. He stated that he was out of town during our tree trimming and the sales person was new and probably didn't know it was a red oak. He then had the audacity to write an estimate to charge us for removing the red oak ($300). He was willing to give a discount on stump grinding. The company was also negligent in cleaning up all the debris and branches from the trimming. I am now religious about checking Angie's List and BBB!

I was quoted $2200, they never provided a written estimate or provided an itemized bill as I requested. I checked my credit card statement before the work was done and prior to leaving for vacation, and I found that they charged more than $4600 on my credit card. I have signed nothing and the work has not been completed. They drove heavy machinery through my yard and my neighbor's yards, leaving huge gouges that they have not yet fixed. They took apart part of the fence and never put it back up. I've called to talk with them about the problems, about the unfinished work, and about the unjustified and unapproved charges on my credit card, but they have not returned calls and they seem to be avoiding me. I'm warning all of my neighbors not to use them and I would never use them again.

THIS FIRM WAS NOT PREPARED OR SKILLED ENOUGH TO TAKE DOWN THIS TREE. THEY DON'T LIVE UP TO THE PROMISES THEY MAKE. THEY PROCEEDED TO DO WORK WITHOUT THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT OR CREW AND CAUSED A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE TO OUR PROPERTY.

THEY WORKED VERY HARD, PLUS QUICKLY AND CAREFULLY TO GET AT HARD TO REACH AREAS OF TREES BEHIND THE HOUSE. THEY CLEANED UP NICELY.
