Kyle was superb with customer care. I looked up other neighborhood mechanic shops on Nextdoor. Of the three I called, he fit me in when all the other nearby shops were packed for a week even though his shop was booked too. My engine was overheating and not warming the inside of my van just as autumn temperatures were plummeting. He was able to diagnose my cracked temperature housing that was leaking coolant. While in the shop I also got an oil change and shocks repaired (both of which were severely overdue in getting taken care of). It was a one day turnaround. So thankful for getting taken care of! I didn't feel pressured at all to get anything I didn't need at the time. So awesome to drive a warm vehicle that doesn't cluck as I drive anymore! ☺️

This review is for our many visits to Jake Larsen, and there isn't much I can do than add another A to the list. Jake is honest, friendly and truly excellent at keeping our vehicle in top shape at a reasonable price. Not only that, but they stand by their work. When a headlight failed within months of being replaced Jake replaced it again. I fully expected to pay for it again (a manufacturing defect isn't their fault, and they had to pay for the new part...). This was a $20 headlight, not a $200 one, but their willingness to make sure work is done right is so appreciated.

Larsen Motors is great to work with.  I had a few concerns with the vehicle.  They fixed some, but informed me that the larger expense I was worried about wasn't necessary at this point.  Another garage wanted us to fix it immediately to the tune of $1,200.  Larsen indicated it is something to watch, but posed no immediate risk and actually made suggestions on what might help the situation without expensive repair.  I will be going to Larsen with all my repairs in the future and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

This is the place to go for good honest service, they pay attention to detail and certainly don't overcharge.

I trust them, they don't do work that is not necessary. I have taken stuff to them in previous years, and they have said that I don't need to do that. It is difficult to find someone you can trust. The availability depends on the work load, because they only have 3 or 4 work bases. You can call them, and it may take you a day or two. I could drop the car, and the keys in the lock box, then I call them the next day. They will work on any type of vehicle. They have parts or they can get them relatively fast. I asked them about things, and they tell me they are fine, and I should not waste money. My dad was using them, my sister and brother also use them. The average person doesn't know much about cars, and somehow they are pressured to sell.

These guys were great. They were very professional and helped me out a couple of times. They were very reasonable, and especially patient with me because I had a lot of questions. The guy at the front desk, sorry, I forgot his name, was very pleasant and like I said, very patient. I don't really know about cars, but these guys were better than the last place I took my car into. They didn't and quot;findand quot; anything wrong with the car that suddenly needed to be fixed and my friend, who does know cars, thought that the work they did was good, and that the price was very fair. I think they are really good and would recommend them.

I took vehicle in complaining of noise from front at highway speeds. Replaced left wheel bearing, then checked vehicle and found right wheel bearing was also going out. While working on that found ABS tone ring was broken and replaced it with no charge for labor although I know some additional labor was involved. Repair costs were at lower end of expected range for this repair.
On this repair and past repairs I have found Jake to be very honest and trustworthy. After years of searching I feel I have found a repair place I can trust.

We have used them in the past and they are always very honest and good. They always go through what needs to be done and why. It is a small business but it is an excellent company. I would recommend anybody to go in there. I've taken vehicles in the past to get fixed and they don't fix anything that is not broken. Our whole family uses them off and on.

I've used this company many times. Not only are they reasonably priced, but they often go well beyond what other companies will do. One of the most surprising is they take the time to take customers' cars across the street to fill the gas tank for senior customers that don't know how. I've seen it many times. For a business to care that much is amazing.

From first contact to final payment they were professional and friendly. They completed the job on time and for the quoted price, which was $100 (or more) less than quotes from two other repair places. They will be my auto repair place into the future (and probably my whole family's - 9 vehicles). Thank You Larsen!!!

Great! I can't say enough good about this provider. We have used them for years. They are fair and reliable and help minimize costs whenever possible. We have them on speed-dial because we have 3 cars which need regular maintenance. I have never been disappointed.

This was my first experience with Larsen Motors. Bottom line, they did an excellent job at a fair price. I left the shop confident that I, indeed, had found a and quot;good mechanic.and quot; In addition to fixing the coolant leak, Jake Larsen (third generation owner) explained because components were accessible--they replaced spark plugs, changed the oil, and installed an idler pulley that was going bad--at no additional labor charge. I believe this needed to be done--not because they were piling on extra charges. The car runs much better.

I more-or-less knew what was wrong with the vehicle, so I called several local repair shops for rough estimates on the work. I won't name names, because it's possible that some of the other shops were just having bad days, but Larsen was by far the most friendly and responsive of the bunch. They were also among the most reasonable in terms of the estimate for the worst-case scenario.

When the car was brought in and they took a look, they found that the situation wasn't quite as dire and called to let me know. Because of the age of the car, they also discussed various options to fit my long-term plans with the vehicle. They could have easily done all of the work discussed in the original phone quote and charged me accordingly. Instead, they were honest and upfront about the issues. We settled on a shorter list of repairs and it was completed the same day.

Although of course I'd rather still have the money in my pocket, all in all it was a great experience. I think I have a new favorite repair shop.

My experience with them is they generally do what's needed to do and they don't overcharge. They were pretty good and were able to diagnose the problem fairly fast that was because of the security lockout and they were able to bypass the system. The other option was to replace the part which would have been $300 or $400. I have gone to them for years and their quality is good. The only negative on them is that they don't work on foreign cars. They are typically more of a American or American crossover company but they do know their stuff.

I have been going to Larsen's off and on for a long time. Mark's father used to run the show there. They might not always be the cheapest but as they did this time, they fix what needs to be fixed and not a bit more in my experience. For instance they said right away that the back brake linings were fine and then said that the front rotors could be turned instead of pushing new ones. Approximate breakdown of costs: labor- $84, turn rotors - $20, front pads- $60, tax - $4. Also I have never had any of those sudden automotive maladies develop soon after having work done at Larsen's.
