Todd's Bobcat Service

Work went exactly as planned, Todd was very receptive and professional to any and all of my requests.  Didn't leave until we were happy with the results.  I would hire him again in a heartbeat, and would definately recommend him to family and friends!

Todd arrived right on time the morning of the dig and used his Bobcat to clear an area for a future patio. The area is approximately 500 sq. ft. and dug down 6 inches. At the time, Todd's rate was $200 minimum for the first two hours, and then $70/hr. after that. It only took him a bit over an hour to do the job, so it totaled $200.00. Far cheaper than several other estimates over $500 and another more than $1,000. Todd did a good job of getting right up along side our house and was very professional. He had me come out to inspect his work near the end of the dig and made sure everything looked as expected. I considered renting a Bobcat and trying to do it myself, but it probably would have taken me a day by the time I figured out how to work the machine, which would have been nearly $300 + tax for a day's rent (and I wouldn't have done as good of a job).

I bought my home as a foreclosure and began renovating it as a project a few years ago. However, the previous owner had let the yard go long ago. My yard had been mulching itself and the landscape had turned into a pseudo-jungle. Therefore, when I finally called Todd, I had ivy, shrubs, out of control plants, tree stumps, and about 12-14 extra yards of dirt waiting for him when he got here.

Todd was excellent to work with. He is always professional yet very friendly and easy to talk to--I had no problems explaining my and quot;visionand quot; for the landscape. He is one of the rare few that communicates his schedule and always says what he does. I asked him if he wanted me to try to clear anything out before he got here. He told me no as he would just use the Bobcat to clear everything out of the yard. Indeed he did but he also used precision and care when going through tight spaces and around my neighbor's fence. It is clear that he has experience with a bobcat as he was able to go right up to my house, AC unit and fence. The end product looks great and is ready to be seeded. Moreover, he solved any problems I had by forming the yard to properly drain and resolve water issues.

I would highly recommend Todd. He is very professional, talented, trustworthy, and pleasant to work with. Because the job was so extensive, we agreed upon hourly prices for the bobcat work, dumpster work, and labor in lieu of an job estimate. The really nice thing is that Todd only charged the Bobcat rate when he was actually in the Bobcat. He gave me a price breakdown for each day he was here and I was very happy with the end price simply because Todd was honest in his bookkeeping. Called half hour before arriving, arrived at 11:30, dug 15 holes (42" deep, 16" diameter) with bobcat and auger in about an hour.
