Southside Garage Door

On a cold wintery Saturday, 1/20/2018, my garage door would not open and I received a quick response, getting an appointment that same day. In addition to installing a new LiftMaster Garage Door Opener, Jim adjusted the spring tension, tightened all door bolts, rewired door sensors and removed the old garage door opener. I could tell that Jim was a seasoned installer. He was very thorough, efficient and overall did an excellent job. This new opener is very quiet and I would highly recommend this company.

We called and they answered right away. They were at our home within an hour and a half and the work was completed quickly.

Our garage door stopped working early Monday morning and my husband determined a spring had broken. I called Southside Garage Door at 7 am and they gave me several times they could come out that very day. The repair person came on time, fixed it, and now it works like new -- and much quieter. We opted to go for an upgraded spring replacement for a few $ extra. Couldn't be happier with the quality of their service!

We realized our garage door wouldn't go up about 4:45 in the afternoon. Southside had a repairman at our home within the hour. Thank you for the excellant customer service and quick responsiveness. If we could give A+, we would.

It couldn't have gone any better.  Our spring broke just before lunch on a Friday so we thought we would have to wait until early next week to get it fixed.  We had used Southside for our other garage door and my wife indicated that she thought they were great.  I gave them a call and Jim indicated that someone would be out to fix it between 3:00 and 5:00 the same day.  
Mike showed up at 4:00 and quickly assessed the problem.  He gave us a couple of options including replacing only 1 of the 2 springs and using heavy duty versus regular.  I told him to replace both springs and to upgrade to the heavier tortion springs.    About an hour later the job was done.  Mike also showed me where the ceiling bracket on the side was coming loose, and where he had put new bolts.  He also adjusted the door and door opener chain as well.  We've lived here for 19 years and the door never worked better once he was done.  
Overall they were prompt, reasonable, efficient, and courteous.

The provider did an excellent job. Our garage door was having trouble closing, and we noticed that a spring was broken. He came over the same day I called and replaced the springs. He also noticed some areas where the garage door was not screwed onto the supports and fixed those as well as some other things the garage door installer (a different provider) had overlooked. He adjusted the sensors for our door opener, tested it multiple times and even changed the lightbulbs in the garage for us. He only charged a minimal amount for the extra fixes to the garage door and opener (about $30). The springs were probably comparably priced to other companies for heavy duty springs. It has been two months since the service, and our garage door is working great. We would definitely call Southside again.

My 1980's stanley garage door opener finally gave up. I called Southside Garage Door on a Wednesday and they were out to install the new garage door opener the following Saturday. The service man arrived 5 minutes early. He was thorough and professional. The job was done in less than 2 hours. He took the time to make sure I understood how everything worked. The Liftmaster opener is smooth and quiet. The door no longer groans when going up and down. They exceeded my expectations. Thanks Southside Garage Door.

Jim arrived on time, told me what he would be looking at, then performed the work.  My cable had come off the spool and my door was completely out of the track on one side, plus the electric eye was messed up.  Jim determined the ground had shifted and the track had spread by about a half inch, which was causing the door to struggle when opening and closing.  He reset the track on both sides and got the door working correctly in about 40 minutes.  Afterward he showed and explained what he had done and why, and checked the operation of the door several times until he was satisfied.  Good job.....

On Sunday 9/21/2014 I heard a big bang when door was shut. Since it was on an opener, able to open door, found attaching cables off and spring broken.
Looked up Garage Door repairs in Angie's list and found Southside with all good reviews. Called Monday and was able to get someone out basically when I would be home. I scheduled for Wednesday for 10-11AM, the repair person arrived 10 mniutes early assessed the failure. I had an old model and he had to modify the rod, replaced the spring and all the attaching brackets. He then adjusted the door and it now works better than when it was new.
The repair person was very knowledgeable and efficient. It was an excellent experience for me.

One of the cables on my garage door decided to break on a Sunday morning, leaving the door open about a foot on one side. I called Southside to see if they could repair it that day. They said someone would be out as soon as possible. Jim showed up in about an hour, and replaced both cables and mounting plates. He then greased the whole thing, and showed me where to grease it as well. The door works like it did when it was brand new. I really appreciate the job Jim did and would highly recommend Southside.

.  My spring broke late on a Friday night.   Since it was Labor Day weekend, I was worried my door was not going to get repaired for awhile, unless I paid dearly for emergency service.  Jim was excellent.  He does service work on weekends.   He gave pricing over the phone, and showed up at the promised time.  He waked me thru the work he was going to perform and what it would cost. He worked efficiently and got a big job done in under 2 hours.  The door works great and he tuned up my opener.  He even managed to repair the rubber seal on the third that had been ripped up for a long time -- glad to get it fixed and he tuned up that door as well.  I highly recommend Southside Garage Door. 

The spring snapped from the cold and he was able to come out the same day. We used an Angie's list $10 coupon too.Springs still work great.

They did a great job and came out on the weekend to repair the garage door.

It all went very well. They were prompt and professional. Not only did the springs get replaced but the whole system was checked and tweaked to run even quieter. Great service, professionally done.

Installed new opener & keypad. My opener broke on Friday, I called Southside on Saturday hoping to line up an appointment early the next week. They were able to come out that Saturday! Mike was the ultimate professional. Efficient, friendly, explained everything he was doing, programmed my keypad for me. Terrific service. I will call them from now on for my garage door needs.

It went really well. They gave me a window of 11am - 1pm and Jim was at my house a 11am. Very friendly guy, did a super job installing and explaining the operation details.

This Repair Could not have gone better.  I called at 9:30 AM and Jim arrived at my house by 10:25 Am.  He inspected the springs and cables and bottom fixtures.  I had no Idea that the cables were in that bad of shape.  One tiny strand of cable was all that was holding on to the left side of the door.  Jim replaced the springs and cables and bottom fixtures in less then an hour.  He reset  the opener arm to the correct angle and adjusted the safety reverse and checked it for operation.  I have small children at home and I appreciate a service provider who realizes that safe operation of the door is critical to me. Southside Garage Door did outstanding work at my home.  I highly recommend them.

I called Southside Garage Door and they told me what the service call and materials would cost.  Jim was here the next day and on time for scheduled appointment.  He evaluated the job and then proceeded to replace the gasket.  It was a difficult job but he was persistent and got it right the first time.  Jim then adjusted and greased the garage door.  He cleaned up after himself and was very professional.
