PAINTING BY TOM LITKE

Professional, efficient and quality work at a great price! Tom Litke and his crew were great about the emotional breakdown I had when I'd realized the color I chose was not what I thought it would be (they had painted the front of my two story house/garage and were starting on the side when I first saw it). He patiently worked with me for a better version of the color I wanted. I ended up LOVING my house, especially after I accented with red. My house looks AMAZEBALLS and better than every other house around me! Next is my deck...then my cupboards...then walls inside!!! :) I wouldn't go with anyone else!

Tom Litke and his painting crew were wonderful! Tom contacted me before the start date to let me know what would happen and to see if I had any questions, and kept in touch throughout the project. He has great design sense and pointed out an inexpensive way to spruce up our exterior, including follow-through--at no extra cost! Regarding his crew, they were all professional and thorough. The quality of their work was excellent, and they were very good about answering my questions. And their clean-up afterwards was remarkable! Painting by Tom Litke has my highest recommendation.

I have 12 foot ceilings in 3 rooms and many angles.  Not an easy painting job, and virtually impossible to do-it-yourself.  Tom Litke came out to do an estimate the day after I called him, emailed the estimate the following day.  I compared a few different contractors, and prices were all pretty close, but Tom seemed professional, and could start the job within a few days, where others were 2+ weeks out.
His large crew showed up right on time (or a few minutes early) on a Saturday morning and got right to work.  I was a little worried with the number of people who came (I think he had 7 to start the project).  We left for the morning, returning mid afternoon when they appeared to be getting ready to wrap it up for the day.  I didn't believe that the crew had completed as much as I would have thought on day one, so I called Tom (he had left the job to bid others) and we arranged to have the crew stay late to at least get most of the main floor completed, so we could get furniture back in place.  I left for another couple of hours, and upon return  I was pleasantly suprised by the progress they had made and how well they cleaned up after themselves -- the areas that had debris were spotless.
The crew showed up the next morning before 8:00am (on a Sunday) and got right to work.  A smaller crew this time, but with the 12-foot ceilings completed the day before, the job was done much faster.  The space wasn't cleaned up as well on Sunday (Tom -- your daughter does a great job with the clean up -- you need to have her there on the last day of the project), but was still acceptable. 
The overall paint job was done very well.  I had selected a fairly expensive paint, and Tom didn't try to up the price.  There was a little extra work required, like removing and replacing a door frame, and again, he didn't adjust the price.   Overall, we are very satisfied with the work, both in the quality and the ability to get the big job completed in one weekend.  We will use again the next time we paint.

We were recommended Tom from a friend. We called him for an estimate and
he came over to discuss the job. He gave us his opinion of the painting
job and then said he will send us an estimate in a few days. In a few
days we got the estimate and decided to use his services. He said it
would take maybe 2 days (Friday\Saturday) to do our job. His crew (and
he) showed up on time on Friday and started the job. His crew was very
professional and they did a fantastic job. They were able to finish the
job in 1 day!! They made sure we were happy with the job and cleaned up
after them. I'm truly amazed they were able to paint the walls with one
coat and it looks fantastic. Believe me that I looked for missed spots
and only found one minor spot and they touched that up. We also had lots
of curtain holes from the previous owners and they patched them up and I
cannot even find those holes.
I would highly recommend Tom and his crew.

Tom brought his crew and finished the paint within two days. He also left leftover paint for touch over. He was very professional and did a great job.

Work was inconsistent, but Litke said he would come back and do touch ups. Later, he and our contractor came to an agreement that Litke would prep repaired walls for final paint. Both Litke and the contractor assured me the work would be done. Instead, Litke painted over rough walls. The contractor finally did the wall prep himself, but then Litke refused to re-paint over these patches until compensated. The contractor did not give him as much as he felt he was owed, so he hung us out on over $2000 of rework.

WE WERE TOLD PAINTER WOULD BE OVER TO PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE AND HE DID NOT SHOW AT THE TIME STATED. ONCE WE CALLED HIM, HE DID COME OVER LATER THAT DAY. WE TOLD HIM WHEN WE NEEDED THE WORK DONE BY AND HE SAID IT WAS NOT A PROBLEM. WE HAD TO CALL HIM TO CONFIRM HE WAS ACTUALLY COMING AFTER 2 DAYS AND HE HAD NOT SHOWN UP. THE WORK DONE WAS SLOPPY, THE FLOORS AND COUNTERS WERE NOT COMPLETELY COVERED DURING THE WORK. THEY GOT PAINT ON THE FRONT DOOR HANDLE AND DID NOT REMOVE ALL THE TAPE ONCE FINISHED. THE COUNTERS ALSO HAD PAINT SPOTS ON THEM IN AREAS. HE NEVER CALLED TO SEE IF WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE WORK OR TO TELL US THEY WERE DONE. HE JUST PUT THE BILL IN THE MAIL. I FEEL THE $400 WE PAID FOR THIS WORK WAS TOO MUCH. WE WERE IN A TIME CRUNCH TO GET THIS DONE AND HE WAS ABLE TO DO THE WORK WHEN NEEDED. I WOULD NOT HAVE USED HIM OTHERWISE.

INCLUDING MOVING FURNITURE AND CLEANING, THEY TOOK 2 DAYS. VERY NEAT WORK. THEY DO A LOT OF EXTERIOR PAINTING AND DECK FINISHING DURING WARM MONTHS. FOR BEST DEAL AND MINIMAL WAITING TIME ON INTERIOR WORK, SCHEDULE IN THE WINTER.
