These guys know what they're doing. Tremendous expertise in handling a dangerous situation -- a tree that was rotting from the inside and in danger of hitting two houses. An expert climber is part of Mike's team, and he started the process by scaling the tree and pulling up a chain saw. He carefully lashed every large limb to a rope that allowed them to slide down in a controlled manner after he cut them, so that there was no damage to our lawn. They also worked in a manner that didn't cause any collateral damage to our house or the pond that was directly under the tree. The team seemed to work methodically and carefully, taking no unnecessary risks. Their process was to cut off the higher parts of the tree until they had a tree small enough to control when they did the final cut. They controlled it well, missing some key trees we didn't want destroyed when the main tree fell. They also cleaned up our yard very well, leaving no files of twigs or other debris on our (or our neighbor's) lawn, and they helpfully cut the main trunk and larger limbs into pieces so we could split it for firewood. It was a pleasure to watch them work.
