Pretty good for the most part. I purchased dishwasher and it was delivered per schedule except for the electrical part. I had to schedule that with another inspector who came at a later date and connected the dishwasher to put it into operation. Brooklyn Center requires an air gap which means a hole has to be drilled on my countertop (I was told.) The installer did not put in an air gap as I was told me might do. A week after the dishwasher was installed I received a letter informing me that I had to contact Brooklyn Center myself and arrange for an inspection. When the Brooklyn Center inspector came out he noticed the missing air gap and informed me that he would notify the installing company. He also told me that the air gap was my choice if I wanted them to close the file, otherwise the file would remain open and nothing would be done. I elected to not have the air gap installed and notified the installing company that I would not have the air gap installed (they had been bugging me by phone to make an appointment to come out and install the air gap for which they would charge me $150.00). This is not a negative report on Best Buy.

After having our plasma installed for a month or so I had Best Buy come back and calibrate the color/brightness/sharpness/etc. This is a lot more than adjusting the controls as it involves changing settings in the service adjustments. TV's come from the factory set so they will look good (read: jump out at you) in the showroom, not necessarily be color accurate or look good in your home. At first I thought I could do this myself like I had using a DVD calibration program on an earlier set, but that would have been nowhere as good as what Jake did. He spent the better part of two hours going through the calibration, and what a difference. It looks just like a movie screen now. You no longer notice (when you're watching a movie) that this color looks a little off, or something else is strange; it's just incredible. It's worth the $ (whether it's done by BBY or someone else) to get your large TV calibrated. Oh yeah, he was right on time and there was nothing to clean up!
