I got new tires, oil change and Differetial serviced. Tom has been our mechanic for a couple years now and he is easy to work with and always does a great job.

Tom was very knowledgable and willing to suggest which things needed to be done first or required the most attention.

I only talk to the owner who works on the vehicles. He's very nice and very professional. He knows cars inside and out. The place is neat, tidy and clean.

The work they did was really good. We call and he can usually get us in within a couple of days.

Tom is wonderful. He did everything he said he would and had it done in a timely manner, even on a Saturday.

I have been using them for the last 6 months. They handle it very well. My brakes were making a noise it was a Friday night and ended up working on it until 9'O clock at night. He gave me his vehicle to use and finish up my work. It was perfect.

Too many "stories" to even remember as have owned a lot of cars and trucks and always take them to Tom for everything. He is always in touch with me (and all his customers) and simply put, will forget more about cars than most mechanics will ever know. He also gives excellent advice for maintenance and repairs. Seriously, he is the best. What I cant understand is why he doesnt have more reviews. Then again, he doesnt need them, and I think he actually continues to have as much business as he can handle.

Tom ordered 2 tires after giving us several options at several different price points. We were able to drop off the truck being worked on at a convenient time and pick it up in an equally convenient time. The work was done exactly as promised. Tom provided a worthy recommendation to do the other 2 tires before too long but didn't pressure us to do it here and now. After he received one tire that didn't meet his expectations, Tom sent it back and got a new one but still had the truck ready on time. We've used Lithgow automotive for most of our repairs and recently purchased a new car based on Tom's recommendations. We've been going to him for 10 or so years and am so glad that way back then someone cared to share their recommendation with us. I trust no auto shop like I trust his.

I spent nearly 10 years in the auto service industry. In all that time I have yet to find a shop that I trust to do even the most basic of vehicle service. I think I have finally found the shop that I trust to work on my car as if it were their own. I peeked in the shop and noticed that Lithgow uses all brand new state-of-the-art equipment, and the shop is so clean you could eat off the floor. Tom obviously takes pride in his shop and I can only assume that he takes the same pride in his workmanship. The price for the tire work was the lowest I found after calling a few stores and I take comfort in knowing that the work was performed by a real mechanic and not some high school burnout. The price of the oil change was reasonable (neither good or bad), and again it was done by a real mechanic. I took a big stack of his business cards to hand out to friends and coworkers and I will be bringing him one of my other cars in the next few weeks to get my snow tires put on.

The Lithgow quote can in at less than 50% of Firestone. I decided it was worth having AAA tow the car to Lithgow's since their quote was less than 50% of Firestone for the same services. The next morning Lithgow calld to say the radiator was replaced but the car was still overheating because the thermostat was not working properly(this was not in the Firestone quote). That was relplace and the whole bill was still well below the Firestone estmate. I haven't had a problem with the car since

Excellent experience! Found Lithgow on Angie's List. Needed Auto Inspection Services for a used car we found in Buffalo, MN. Lithgow came highly recommended and they were close to the dealer. Tom gave me two options for inspection with a fair quote. Was at the dealer on a Friday and called Lithgow at 11:00 am to see if they could work us in ASAP. They did! Angie was very responsive and gave great directions to the easy to find location on County Rd 116 north of Hwy 55. Tom was very professional, thorough and fair. Gave me a complete picture of what was good with the car and what would need some work. Even though we live in Edina, I am thinking of using Lithgow for any future repair work! We were very impressed with our experience and the quality of Lithgow's services. Many thanks to Tom, Angie and their crew!

They are fast, honest and use quality materials. I had a shield hanging down from the underside of my car and he a put clip to hold it in place and didn't charge me for labor. He does not recommend anything unless it's necessary. The oil change costs a little more but, since he uses a quality product it's worth it.

Great price, very professional, always done when promised. I would highly recommend them.

We were preparing to send the car back to school with my daughter and needed a quick answer. I thought it was an issue with the ignition system. He isolated the problem and replaced the battery within two hours of my call.
