Actually, the whole thing was very anxiety producing since we had recently had tornados go through the Twin Cities.
However, it was great to have someone come out on the holiday and take care of the emergent issue.  He was quite reassuring.
We had additional issues in that we were planning to have a new concrete driveway installed and the city was planning to lay a final
coat of asphalt on our street.  We needed to get the work done before either of those events.  We had a date set for the concrete driveway project, but the city was not at all helpful in giving us an estimate regarding the street work.

He was able to coordinate everything to get the job done before our date for the driveway.  I thought this was quite remarkable because the demand was great in the area due to all the recent storm damage.  He did warn us in advance about a bed of pachysandra that would probably be ruined due to the heavy equipment. 

The crew worked diligently and finished a little later than estimated, primarily due, I think, to the length of time it took to grind up the oak stump.  This did not inconvenience us in any way.  All the work was done well and as promised. 

Unfortunately, it was a very wet spring and it was difficult for him to get his truck into the area where he stores his logs and chipper.  It took him an extra week from when I wanted the chips to get into the area.  Once he did, he delivered the wood chips right away. I think I got an extra yard free for the delay :<)

As always, the work was superior. I have had three jobs done by them & they always do a great job. They cleaned up well & were very professional.

GREG DEHN SEEMED KNOWLEDGEABLE AND TOOK TIME TO INFORM ME THE WORK BEING PERFORMED. THE CLEANUP WAS GOOD.

IT WAS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. AFTER THE FIRST PHONE CALL ON 9/22 TO SET UP AN ESTIMATE, IT TOOK ANOTHER CALL TO FINALLY GET HIM OUT ON 10/1. WE CHECKED WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, AND GREG REMOVED THE DEBRIS IN THE FRONT YARD. SAID HE'D BE BACK "WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY THIS WEEK" TO FINISH THE JOB. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN 10/5 OR 10/6. HE WROTE OUT A WORK ORDER WHICH I SIGNED. AFTER WEEKS OF WAITING, WITH NO PHONE CALLS FROM THEM, I CALLED AGAIN ON MONDAY 10/17 TO CANCEL THE WORK ORDER. GREG SAID HE'D BE HERE THE NEXT DAY AND I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HIM TO NOT TRIM THE BACK MAPLE AT ALL AND ONLY CHARGE ME FOR THE FRONT TREE. HE CAME ON 10/18, REMOVED THE FRONT TREE, AND REMOVED ABOUT HALF OF THE BACK TREE, TO GROUND LEVEL. HIS EXPLANATION WAS HE KNEW I'D WANT IT DONE EVENTUALLY AND IT REALLY WASN'T THAT MUCH OF MY TOTAL. HE FINALLY AGREED ON 10/19 TO TAKE $100 OFF THE TOTAL IF I COULD PAY HIM IN CASH. GREG SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY ONE AT THE COMPANY, SO I CAN'T ESCALATE TO A MANAGER OR ANYTHING.

WE WAITED TWO OR THREE BUSINESS DAYS FOR THEM TO RETURN OUR CALL REQUESTING AN ESTIMATE, AND ANOTHER THREE BUSINESS DAYS FOR THEM TO RETURN OUR (THREE) CALLS REQUESTING SERVICE. I DON''T MIND WAITING FOR SERVICE IF NECESSARY, BUT EXPECT MY CALLS TO BE RETURNED MORE PROMPTLY. THOUGH THEIR ESTIMATE WAS VERY LOW, WE CHOSE THEM LARGELY BASED ON A CIRCUMSTANCE OF MUTUAL BENEFIT - THEY EXPRESSED A DESIRE FOR SOME OLD FENCING WE WERE EAGER TO BE RID OF. THE WORK WAS FINE, THOUGH CLEANUP WAS DISAPPOINTING - ESPECIALLY THE LARGE MOUND OF CHIPS AND DIRT LEFT WHERE THE LARGER TREE HAD BEEN. THEY ALSO LEFT A COUPLE OF ROADBLOCK CONES, AND, AS IT TURNED OUT, MOST OF THE FENCING. A BARGAIN IF YOU DON''T MIND WAITING OR IF THEY''RE NOT BUSY, AND IF YOU''RE WILLING TO POLICE THE CLEANUP.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB AND CLEANUP WAS SUPER! THEY CAME THE DAY AFTER I CALLED SO THERE SERVICE WAS PROMPT.
