Countryside Fence

He was punctual, got the job done in a timely manor.  Priced better than the other two estimates that I got plus he was able to get the job done sooner.  Cleaned up well.  Most importantly, when he found out one of my dogs could squeeze through the area between my home and the fence post, he added an extra post so the dog couldn't get out.  He even took down at least 6 large lilac bushes that were in the way of the fence and didn't charge me extra. 

The install went well except he broke a sprinkler head. When my son-in-law saw it, he said he'd fix it. Later in May, we learned that he had not fixed it. When we looked closer, we learned that the attempt to fix it involved duct tape and cement. Obviously that didn't work. I called the owner to tell him about what happened but he failed to return my call. I then emailed him. We had the sprinkler repaired only to learn that 3 of them had actually been damaged. Our cost was $157 to repair so I asked him to send me a check. This was his response: I try to be fair about sprinklers. I drilled through frost and was not aware of the other damages. Had you a hard copy of a quote, you would see the large type indicating we can't accept responsibility for them, though I try to repair them to give good service. They are soft, invisible, and can not be located without damage. If I go to a project and do nothing but repair lines, I may as well stay home. I call for locates, but sprinklers can't be. It is a risk a home owner takes when requesting holes be drilled without any knowledge of the lines. In the interest of good relations I will share the cost, but I don't have a dime today. I build nice fences, but I am always struggling. I bid my jobs a low as I can. I might be caught up in a few weeks and I will send sixty. I might as well work for nothing on any given job I I have to pay the cost of fixing soft hoses where I have to place a hole. Thanks for the job, and if you understand my position. He hasn't sent me any money for our loss. I don't know if he's right about breaking sprinklers or not but there was no advance disclosure to me. And he has failed to reimburse us. Not a great experience in the end.

Lee did a fantastic job on our fence, was extremely fast (done in less than 1 week) and had by far the best price. The quality of the wood is amazing and with some difficult cuts for the hill in our backyard he made it look even than I expected. Would highly recommend Lee. He may seem a little quirky but that's part of the charm, don't let it turn you away because you will end up with a fantastic finish.

Lee took about three days to install 170 feet of cedar fencing with two gates.  He and his crew worked very hard to complete the project on time and the end result is a very well built great looking fence.
I would recommend using Countryside fence to anyone. 

They did a great job - wood privacy and black chain link to enclose back yard for the dog.  It took 1 1/2 days - looks great and the team was wonderful.  Thanks!

We wanted the fence straightened properly where the gate did not close.  He did kind of a makeshift job by moving the other side of the fence a little and added another pole on the side of the gate.  It does close now but doesn't look much better than it did before.  The fence coming from the house is still leaning.  Our main problem is corrected, however, and he really did not charge us for fixing the gate.  We appreciate what he did do.  Hopefully, it keeps closing.

I searched Angies List for fencing cotractors.  I received 3 bids.  While this bid was not the cheapest, it was the most comprehhensive in terms of educating me on fence styles, materials, etc.  Additionally, he listened to my needs and was receptive to meeting my goals.  He was also very patient while I waded through insurance and mortgage company issues waiting for my check to be processed.  Once I got the check, he was able to complete my fence within 3 days.

Lee and one of his employees came out on a Monday night to measure and give us an estimate.  They returned on Wednesday and the fence was done by Thursday evening.  They removed a chain link fence, installed the beautiful privacy fence and hauled away the old fence.  They even worked in the rain to finish the project.  I've since recommended this company to relatives and friends and  should the need arise, we will be calling them again!

Would recommend Lee to anyone. Does a great job. My second time using him. First used him many many years ago.

Came out and gave us a bid on Sunday morning.  We hired him on the spot and the job was completed by the next evening.

We called Countryside after our neighbors told us they used them for their fence a few years ago.  He came over, gave an estimate (he was the middle-priced estimate) and we decided to proceed with them.The next day they were at our house unloading material and a week later (in the middle of February, even when we had snow) the fence was up.  The fence is great and they were very easy to work with.  We have referred them to other friends and neighbors.  We were very pleased with their work and highly recommend them.

I called Lee, and he came out the next day to measure and give me an estimate.  I have a terraced garden at one end of the yard, and I wanted to set up the fence to keep the dogs in the yard, but out of the garden.  Of the several estimates I got, his was close to the lowest, and he was the one that came up with the best idea for fence placement.  He was also the only one that was using custom wood gates rather than chain link. The yard has a lot of ups and downs, and trees and shrubs. Lee called a couple of days after I accepted the bid, and came out the next day to start the fence.  He worked around the weather, and over the weekend, and got the fence up quickly.  I had originally opted to just have a top rail, but could see that the bottom rail would be needed to keep the dogs in the yard.  He put up the bottom rail for only a small additional amount. Lee did not ask for any payment until the job was completed.  The fence looks wonderful and our neighbors are very complimentary.
