We bought our first house with Bill's help in 2008.  He takes the time to get to know you and what you are looking for in a house.  We had looked at quite a few houses with Bill when we started our search and he was listening to what we were saying about each house as we went through.  As he listened, he was compiling a mental picture of the house we were looking for.  Then he went out and found it for us. Pretty much the exact house we were looking for.  He was great about educating us in the process of looking for a house and in making an offer.  He was a professional the whole way through.
We lived in that first house for 4.5 years and had three kids, outgrowing our "starter" house quickly.  When it came time to list that house we only would have worked with Bill.  He set up an appointment with a stager, gave us a market analysis on how much to list the house for, and worked like mad to get it listed everywhere he could online as well as market the house by word of mouth, mail, and social media.  We accepted an offer about a month after listing the house, only having to wait that long because we listed the house too high at the beginning, against Bill's advice.  Bill knows what he is talking about!
Bill was also our agent for buying our new home.  He was professional all the way through, dealing with poor agents on the seller's side, not to mention sellers that were less than easy to work with.  He always kept the deal together and worked hard to make it happen when everyone else was dragging their feet.  At one point I even had to order Bill to take the weekend off for his daughter's wedding!  We love our new place and once again it was a house that Bill suggested because he knew what we were looking for.
I've encountered many agents at open houses we have attended while looking for our homes.  I can say with no hesitation that Bill is the most professional, most dedicated, most honest, and hardest working real estate agent in the area.  He will only give you honest answers, he will make sure you understand where the process is at all times, he will stay calm if things start to turn, and he will make you want to tell all your friends and relatives about him.

Make sure that you are able to work with a good lender and that you know the fees, interest rate and your future payment up front. This also means taking the time to have them run your credit report and completing an application for a loan. Then go shopping. Get a recommendation from your realtor on a lender they trust. Everything worked out great and there were no suprises.

We ran across Bill's web site and gave him a call. We were moving from Mankato and didn't know Rochester at all. Luckily, Bill has lived in Rochester his whole life so he knew the good and bad areas of town. He showed us many, many homes. We were first time home buyers and really didn't know what we were looking for. Bill remained so patient with us and encouraged us to look at as many houses as we wanted to. We ended up with a great house in a great neighborhood and we got a decent deal on it-we could not have asked for more!
