Impressed with personable demeanor of contractor, respect for my home, willingness to work with time schedule and goal end points. Quality of work was excellent as was progress updates throughout the process. Disappointed with urgency to complete job once deadline was passed. Actual completion was 1 1/2 months past the goal date. Surprised by final bill (~$4800) which was 85% above initial estimate (~$2600). Some minor changes/complications occurred throughout project, however at no time was there a discussion that costs were getting out of hand. I don't believe this was malicious on part of the contractor, simply poor foresight of what the project would entail and failure to notify me throughout of rising associated costs. Contractor worked with me to compromise on a final payment due and offered payment plan options.
Description of Work: Outdated downstairs bathroom was updated by installing new shower stall. Work involved included plumbing, electricity, replacing tile ceiling with drywall, new trim, new medicine cabinet and light.
