Good work. Everything done very well. Be prepared to wait. Took three months from first contact. It was unfortunate, ugly brown evergreen front and center of our house, all summer long. An eyesore. Also replaced two shrubs in back of house. Great business, just be prepared to wait and be rescheduled.

The job was excellent and it was good. They were very timely and listens to our requests. They did exactly what we asked them to do and they cleaned up nicely after their work. People can expect a good service with a fair price.

Calling, setting up appointment to get the estimate, getting the estimate, and having the services performed close to the agreed-to date - only off by one day - all went very well. One delivered tree was different than what was on the estimate I guess due to unavailability, but it was similar. Several of the trees either had a blight or had damaged trunks (one was gouged coming off the truck) and one and quot;didn't look very goodand quot; according to the main person delivering and planting, although they are warranties for a year (our prior landscaper warrantied trees for 2 years, so this was a little disappointing too). The trimming did not really go as I expected. The person who did the trimming hadn't talked to the person who did the estimating, so he didn't know what was to be done. I was home that day, so I was able to tell him. Although, when I told him the plan that his boss had determined for the tree (that had some dead branches, and that his boss said would be cut way back, even on top), he said he didn't know what his boss had in mind, so he just took off the dead branches. Overall, I don't think he was very skilled at trimming the bushes and tree. He also told me to put tree wrap over the gouge on the tree they damaged getting off the truck, but another person in their office told me a few days later to take it off. I was also a little disappointed that the trees were all in pots (indicating they were grown in pots) and not burlap (grown in the ground), so I don't think the overall quality of the tree stock was as good as I've gotten from other places. One of the pine trees also has a damaged/dying top branch, which might be an issue next year if it loses its leader. Now for the billing process...I had given a $1000 dollar down payment a month before the work was scheduled, and which was promptly cashed, but when the final invoice arrived in the mail a few days after the job was done, the downpayment was not listed or deducted! So I made a special visit to their store to get their records straightened out, taking proof of my cashed check, since I didn't think it could have been straightened out very easily over the phone. They took care of the problem quickly, recognizing that they obviously had a glitch in their bookkeeping. So, overall, I give then a grade of B. They were personable and responsive, but the overall quality of product, knowledge of crew, and error in billing keeps me from giving a higher rating. They were still better than some others I have used in the past, and will likely do business with them again, but probably not exclusively.

The work was done in less than a week, the workers were very friendly, answered all my questions,
did a professional and thorough job in finishing the landscaping.
Russ and his family had great ideas and even when I wanted to make some last minute changes, were very accommodating and helpful in making those changes.

The experience turned out very well. They came in, provided all of the materials, did all the labor. The thing that I liked the most about them was that they talked to me before the work was done about some planting some stages in the backyard as well. So it was really kind of a consulting service, gave me some good advice about what to put out front. They were able to do selvedge. We had some hostage in the front and they kept all those and moved some for me. They just did good comprehensive service and we would definitely use them again. They were really good.

I have used Family Tree for years and have been very pleased with them. Russ and his whole family (Margaret, Meghan, and Travis) are great to work with. I have had work done every year for several years. They and all their staff are very professional and helpful (Jamie is also great to work with). They have all services from designing and advising about what will grow best in my garden to installing and maintaining shrubs, trees and flowers and even how to handle pests I am not familiar with. They are always punctual and work hard until the job gets done. I like to be very involved in my yard and the decisions and Russ and his crew allow that and provide advice so I can see the benefit of my efforts. They also designed and installed a fire pit with natural stone that we just love. We get so many compliments on it because it doesn't look like the "standard" stacked stone. I am very pleased with the quality of their work and how easy they are to work with.
