The workmanship is beautifully done - absolutely no wrinkles on the print and the cutting is sharp and accurate. You can choose beveled or 90 degree edges. And if you don't have something to mount, Posters on Board has a huge selection of prints, from fine art to pop art to photos. Jane H., Minneapolis
Description of Work: I learned about the option of wood mounting when I lived in Burlington, VT, and am very glad to have found Posters on Board in the Twin Cities. It's a dramatic and practical way to display prints, posters, photos - just about anything that is not an original work of art. Your print/poster on the wall, with its borders trimmed to the very edge of the print itself, can be stunning, and you do not have to worry about moisture or sunlight. I have brought several prints from wall calendars to be mounted, as well as museum prints, and I am very happy with the results.

Description of Work: This place is special. I bought a poster reproduction of Lionel Walden's "Steel Works, Cardiff Docks at Night" from Magnolia Box in the UK. The original work (hanging in the Wales National Museum) must be in poor shape and my poster faithfully reflected a lot of unsightly cracking paint. I wasn’t expecting much when I asked what POB could do; but Becky offered to touch it up with some paint markers. This she did to great effect. The poster of course came perfectly mounted. I initially chose POB after considerable online research because their prices beat the competition, but the way they handled my off the wall request shows that these folks actually: (a) listen; (b) try to help; and (c) take pride in their work. That’s very rare and precious these days.

They always spend whatever time necessary with me as I am making my selections, which is so nice for us picky, mind-changing art lovers! The finished products always exceed my expectations, also! I am so happy with my items, and would highly recommend Poster's On Board for any custom frame work for your art pieces and/or posters.

+ -1 moreMy first order they were faced with working with a numbered signed print with a very damaged mat. they were so helpful with suggestions and when it was finished I was so pleased.. I can't imagine any other business being so helpful. They are fun and easy to work with. Today, I picked up 4 very special pieces of framed art that I wanted reframed and new UV glass used.. The input from the owners was very helpful when choosing the new frames.. One piece had shells from Sanibel around the artist proof and they looked wonderful in the cut out mat. I've had lots of experiences with other framers and these guys are just the best in the business AAA+++ Kae K
Description of Work: The People who own this business are so easy to work with especially when you have something just a bit different to work with.. They have handled 5 projects for me over 2 transactions.. I will never use another framer - EVER they are just the best!

Description of Work: They were great, friendly, helpful. I had a signed/ numbered water color that was damaged with smoke and needed to have new matting (3 in total). |They worked to come up with the right combination and sizes it looks even better than it did to begin with. I plan to go back and look for additional new art.

I always receive excellent service, and I have never been disappointed with the finished product. I have spent a great deal of time with he owners of the shop, who will always give you their undivided attention, no matter how long it takes to choose the materials thT best fit my piece. It is a drive for me to go there, but I am always confident that I will be completely satisfied with the end result!

+ -1 moreI definitely will go back to Posters on Board for purchsding new posters and prints and any framing work needed. Mercedes helped me to find an item to coordinate with an existing piece in my home. She pointed out why something that I initially thought might work was not the best choice and provided alternatives. Plus, several days after I installed the newly framed artwork in my home, I got a follow up phone call from Mercedes checking in to see if I was satisfied with what I selected and the framing work done. The whole process of selecting the mat, frame and colors (which usually feels like a daunting task for me) was made easy and enjoyable. I am totally satisfied with the work Posters On Board did for me and highly recommend them to others.
