Doug Vale Painting LLC

Extraordinarily difficult to contact.  I don't expect a small business person to spend a lot of time answering the phone, but his voice mail gives no indication that you've reached the right number, and it generally takes several days to get a response, if one is ever received.
After an enormous amount of confusion regarding the scope of the project we were asking for, eventually we agreed on a prep, prime and paint job.  His worker completed the job promptly, although we noticed after the fact that there was a substantial amount of paint on the window screens.  OK, we're replacing those next year, so no need to make a big deal of it.  Now, less than three months later, there is substantial peeling and checking of the paint.  Called Mr Vale, left a message regarding the problem and never received a return call, much less mitigation of the peeling.  We will not use him again.

Doug has been painting my place for many years and always does a great job at a good price.  Recently, he stripped my popcorn ceilings and did the "dropdown" celings.  They looked great.

From the second Doug walked in the home to do the initial estimate I know he was going to do a good job.  He used vocabulary which showed his knowledge of this type of work, and was able to answer all of my questions.  He was easy to get a hold of throughout the entire process, and made an effort to contact me incase he had any questions for me (double checking paint colors, making sure I knew their timeline, etc...).  When the job was finished, Doug did a final walk through with me to make sure I was satisfied with the end result.  He also went above and beyond, working on things that I had requested, that were not included in the initial budget, and not charging me extra for them. 

I recommend Doug to all of my friends.  One of our friends had the exterior of their home painted this summer by Doug.  After having several people come out and give estimates on the job, Doug's team was the most affordable.  The home looks stunning!  We are hoping to pant the exterior of our own home within the next five years, and we will be using Doug Vale.
