Viking Gypsum

This contractor was recommended by our neighbor. We needed our floor leveled before laying down flooring. The contractor did their job quickly and nicely, to our eyes. They were also very courteous and professional. However, when the flooring contractor came, he pointed out that the concrete flooring was not even enough to lay the flooring -- there were hight deviations of 1/2 in. or more. Viking Gypum came back and fixed, at no charge, the spots marked by the flooring contractor. When the flooring contractor (this time a different one because we had changed the flooring order) came, he noticed additional dips of 1/2 or more such that he could not lay the flooring. This time, because we had been without the floor for too long, we just paid the flooring contractor some three hundred bucks to fix any remaining problem. I also emailed the contact person to get some reimbursement for the problems but my emails (to the same address I had used before) were rejected by their system, and by that time I just felt too tired of the whole thing to call them. Now, the floating floor has been put in, we can feel obvious low/high spots all over the place, though not as much in the fixed areas. I didn't put down a grade for quality because I don't know how good this type of leveling is supposed to be. Are you supposed to feel no dent at all under your feet on a floating floor? Don't know. This is a family-operated business with truly very nice people, but I don't know what to make of their work.

Let's see, they are very well priced. They also were very quick in their work and were relatively clean in the end. They were very easy to work with.
