B & B Carpet One Floor & Home

It went great. They were on time, did a great job, and got it done in one day. B&B in Ramsey has put in all of our flooring and counter tops over the past 20 years. We have found that they honest, good pricing, and a great family to work with. We don't even check other pricing because we know that we great product and service for the money and if there ever was problem they would take care of it.

The salesperson was great, Sue helped us find the right carpet out of a huge selection. She was very easy to work with but provided good answers to all our questions.  The crew arrive within minutes of the scheduled time.  The work was done quickly and very professionally.  After all the old carpet and pad had been removed and hauled away, the bare floor was cleaned, vacuumed and sprayed with an antibiotic solution before starting the new installation.  Due to sickness there was only one person installing the carpet, but he was up front with us and said he could do the work  by himself, it would just take him an extra hour.  The work was professionally completed.  There was no damage even though they warned us that there may be small scratches on the molding. When he was done, the rooms and stairs were vacuumed and cleaned up.  We were very happy with the work and with our choice of carpet.  We will use this company again!

It was so easy to select from their variety and She really listened to what I wanted. The warranties are great, especially the  BEAUTIFUL WARRANTY.  Free measure and quote the same day. Installers were on time and took their time to do the job right. Vacuumed up before the left.

They were quick. They were nice. They were in and out and they were done right away. I was able to find carpet that I liked with them. You get what you pay for. The prices were fair, or seemed fair anyway.

We picked oput a tile with their designer. Be sure that you see an example of what your final tile job is supposed to look like before you agree to proceed.  If the end result is bad, they will not take any responsibility for the result.

B & B was great to deal with.  Sue listened to all my wants, answered my questions, & helped me pick out the right carpeting from a huge number of choices in their showroom.  They came out to measure & provide an estimate, & said it would be about two weeks before the carpet came in.  They called to set up an appt to lay the new carpet  and 2 weeks later it was installed.  They were very timely & efficient.  The two young men who came, took out the old  & laid the new carpet.  They worked diligently and did a tidy, fabulous job.  Everyone was great to deal with and I love my new carpet!  I will definitely use them again.

I liked the experience. In 2005 they replaced our kitchen floor, and they were on Angie’s List, so we thought we will try them again for the other rooms in the house. They are real responsible, and it’s a steady company, as people who called me inn 2005 are still there, and at that time when I had my wood floor put in, I would ask them what do I clean it with, and they would give me a free cleaning material for the wood floor. They recommend carpets that I like because I described what my rooms looked like, and they helped me choosing them.

They did an excellent job and I thought the price was very reasonable. I will use them again in the future.

There were two floors installed on two separate days. They said that the hardwood flooring needed to be done first. The rubber that they used to surround it didn’t quite fit at the very end and they replaced it for us. I was happy with their work.

We had used them once before which was back in probably 2001 or 2002. They were recommended by the insurance company. I was delighted, as we had some work done by them before. We purchased carpets for tile and hardwood floors. My insurance company covered all the charges except for the upgrades which was about 2000 $ for the upgrades. My experience with them was fabulous. They also helped while selecting the carpets. I went in and spoke to Sue who knew how to deal with the insurance company. I never had any trouble with the paper work. She knew what she was doing. I would recommend them to anyone. I will use them again in the future, if needed.

Linda was great help in assisting us in making choices for all mentioned above and we were happy with the choices. After we were locked in, the service changed. Had a difficult time getting phone calls returned, things were not ordered on time causing us extra trips. Appt. for us made to choose granite slabs, assuring us the company had what we wanted. Traveled 25 miles, they did not have slabs, had not had that one for quite some time. Left 2 messages at B&B, no return calls. Talked to someone else - Linda out. She gave me two phone #s to call. Phone #s were fabricators, not stone companies, so after I made many phone calls was fortunate to find slabs somewhere else. Wood floor installation people scheduled an appt. three times to repair cracked board in floor and canceled each of those 3 times. I had taken off work for this. Andy promised me floor product to compensate my time from work. It has been 8 weeks - have not seen product! Granite measured and made wrong as well.

We are happy with the carpet. We have some misgivings about the process, as there seem to be gaps in communication internally. We showed up about 15 minutes before closing on a Saturday, but Linda, our salesperson, spent about 45 minutes with us showing us various possibilities and making suggestions. She had some great suggestions, that we would not have considered on our own. (We ended up liking one of these so well it was our final choice). After that the process went downhill somewhat, as we dealt with two estimators who calculated differently. (Apparently one did not read the pattern repeat very carefully). When we made the decision to purchase, the carpet was back ordered a couple of weeks, and we had to reschedule installation (and delivery of our furniture). We were prepared for this possibility, but since we had been told it *wasn't* back ordered we were disappointed when they called to revise that statement. I am still undecided whether I would hire them again.

MY PROBLEM WAS CONCERNING THE FACT THAT WHEN THE TILE WAS LAID THERE WERE TILES THAT WERE BUCKLING UP, THE BASE PIECES THAT THEY PUT ON MY WALLS WERE NOT FLUSH WITH THE WALL. SOME BASE PIECES WEREN'T LEVEL WITH EACH OTHER. I HAD TO HAVE THEM PULL THEM OFF. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WAS THAT THE TILER DID NOT SCRAPE THE THIN-SET (CONCRETE) BETWEEN THE TILES AND HE JUST STUCK GROUT ON TOP OF IT. THIN-SET WAS SHOWING ALL OVER THE FLOOR BECAUSE THE GROUT WAS TOO THIN. MY SECONDARY COMPLAINT WAS WHEN I VOICED MY CONCERN AND ISSUES ONE OF THE OWNERS CAME OUT TO MY HOME AND HE MINIMIZED MY CONCERNS AND HAD THE SAME PERSON COME BACK TO SCRAPE THE THIN-SET AND RE-GROUT. I'VE JUST HAD A MISERABLE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. PLUS THEY'RE NOT GOING TO GIVE ME A WARRANTY ON THE PIECES THEY HAD TO PULL UP.

THEY DELIVERED THE WRONG CARPET FOR THE BASEMENT. I FOUND OUT WHEN IT WAS HALF INSTALLED. THE CARPET WAS ACCEPTABLE IN COLOR AND WAS HIGHER QUALITY SO THEY LEFT IT IN AT THE ORIGINAL PRICE. I ARRANGED TO HAVE THEM MOVE THE FURNITURE BUT THE MEN WHO CAME TO INSTALL KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT AND WANTED TO WALK OFF THE JOB. THEY CALLED THE SHOP AND THERE WERE SEVERAL CALLS BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN THEM, THE SHOP AND ME. EVENTUALLY THEY MOVED THE FURNITURE WITH MY HELP. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF INSTALLING WITH A DIFFICULT ROOM TO WORK IN. ON A SEPARATE OCCASION THEY INSTALLED CARPET IN A VERY SMALL BATHROOM. THEY BROUGHT THE RIGHT CARPET THIS TIME BUT A DIFFERENT INSTALLER DID A TERRIBLE JOB. I'VE DONE BETTER MYSELF WITH NO EXPERIENCE.

THE TILE IS BEAUTIFUL, THE ARTISTIC TALENT OF THE INSTALLER WAS SUPERB. HOWEVER, MY INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PLACEMENT OF THE CORNER SHELVES WERE NOT COMMUNICATED TO THE INSTALLER AND THEY HAD TO BE REMOVED AND REDONE. ALSO, THE GROUT THEY PUT BETWEEN THE TILE AND THE GLASS BLOCK WINDOW HAD TO BE RETOUCHED TWICE SINCE IT CRACKED WITH THE COLD.
