Lindstrom Restoration

Very poor service. They installed the kitchen floor in my home which started to come apart shortly after the install. They came out and inspected the floor, said they would take care of the repair and would fix it but then completely blew me off - ignored my calls and messages for the follow-up repair. In my opinion I would not use this company. Brian in Apple Valley.

They were awesome!!! I cannot recommend them highly enough. They pulled cabinets and flooring and set up industrial dryers, twice! The workers were friendly, professional, and super efficient. They really know their stuff and worked very well with our insurance company.

Great. They took out the damaged sheet rock, mouldings, carpet etc, and put in new. They arrived when they said they would, worked tidy, and did a great job. They are really easy to work with and provide clear options. They understood that we didn't have a huge budget so worked within our limitations. Our basement is even better rhan before. I strongly recommend them.

We had a flood last year so I called to work. They cleared everything our and put huge heaters to dry the walls. They are very professional and answered all my questions. They worked on three floors of my house. They covered up everything up good. They were clean. It was the Christmas time and they worked with us at that time, so it was all good.

In the beginning Lindstrom's was excellent. They arrived quickly to assess the damages and come up with a plan. They cleaned up the mess, then dried out the house from the water hoses the fire department used. Lindstrom's then went to work removing water and smoke damaged walls, windows, and furniture. They put in new insulation, new electrical wiring, new drywall, painted them all, put back in lighting, and got the house back to us with a few delays in schedule. We had them do a few additional jobs, like expand a closet entry, re-enforce the roof, and add electrical outlets to rooms.
Near the end of the work they were very hard to reach, not calling us back, and they missed a bunch of little things, like installing the ceiling fans correctly, small painting mistakes, etc. They didn't strip and paint a windowsill which they said originally would be covered, and they charged us for painting our kitchen which they said would be free to make up for the delays. And lastly we were overcharged, but this was corrected after we called their finance department.
To sum up: started strong, ended weak.
Of course I am thankful for their work, and the house is back to what it was before the fire.

Lindstrom provided a very thorough and safe process for removing the existing shower materials. Frustratingly, we learned that there never had been any mold so the remediation had actually not been necessary. The shower, however, had not been constructed properly so having it re-done was still a good thing. Lindstrom did an outstanding job with the remodel. The end result is a beautiful upgrade from what I had. Each of the individuals working on the project were very professional, prompt and efficient. The work was done a little ahead of schedule. Everything was cleaned up thoroughly before they left and I am very pleased with the result.

The quality of the work was excellent, and during the entire initial phase the team was very responsive to our every need. It was an A+ experience. However, towards the end of the job, the team became somewhat unresponsive to finishing up very minor details. We had to nag them to come back a couple of times. Finally, they would not complete the very last part of the job, and consequently we withheld the final payment for approximately the amount of unfinished work.

Quite a while after the job was finished we had them come out along with some sub-contractors to see what had to be done to finish the work. We wanted to get it done, and we would then be happy to pay the remaining small balance. We felt that if we paid them first it would have been hard to get them to complete the job due to the lack of responsiveness at the tail end of the job. They agreed to finish everything. However, we never heard from them again.

When contacting them later to try to get the work finished, they said that we did not finish paying them. My response was that they did not finish the work either, even though they had agreed to do so. So it seems that we were at an impasse, and that is the way the situation remains.

For a long time I hesitated to make this report because I did not want to say bad things about them. But this what happened as I see it. I am not happy about it. But I have to downgrade the initial top ratings which apply to the bulk of the experience due to the unsatisfactory conclusion.

It turned out really well. It looks beautiful. They were so great to work with. They were friendly professional, considerate of my dogs and dog sitter. They kept me updated on the progress via email.

The rug was saturated throughout upstairs room. We had to throw this carpet and other items. We discovered water coming. I called house insurance, and they told me this would be covered and sent the Lindstrom company. The two snow removal guys removed snow. They sent these guys afterhours, so they could receive the higher afterhours fee. A couple of days, not sure when, Lindstroms sends a guy, again afterhours, who punches holes in wall, and sets up a fan to run a couple of days. He shows up unannounced, at very inconvenient time to collect fan and another machine, that did literally nothing. We have alot of water still coming in,and more than one area, and I worry about mold. The estimates were done later. I feel Lindstroms takes advantage of older homeowners. I could not receive insurance to make repairs because the estimator would not call insurance back. Lindstroms has taken money, and not repaired anything, and want to continue collecting more money, and I feel it is a scam. I had to call the insurance adjustor, several times, because Lindstroms will not answer me. Nearly three weeks ago, I called Lindstroms and I hear nothing. They had sent out an insulator man, who didn't show up, and then called to reschedule, and then showed up late. He and others were rude to me, I feel, and even to the point of arguing with me.

Last week while doing repairs for subsequent water damage to the same area, it was discovered that Lindstrom never opened the wall as they claimed. They had to come back to repaint the area and redo refinishing to shutters which was poorly done. The insurance company paid them for work that was not done. I am posting this complaint in the hope that the public will be put on notice that this is not a firm to do business with. They've done NONE of the work specifically required to dry the area, replace damaged materials or prevent mold growth.

They did fabulous work and the contractors were excellent. The sales guy I have been dealing with has been poor, however. I've been trying to contact them to have additional work done but I have been having trouble getting them to give me a quote. Everything with them has been perfect except for the lack of a follow up with the sales person.

Their quality of work was excellent and they tried very hard to satisfy me in every way. However at the end of the project there were very small details that had some unnecessary delays. Overall, I'd use them again and recommend them to others!
