"Yes, [Member Name Removed] did take Kohner Construction to court but he fails to mention HE LOST TWICE!! Not only in conciliation court, he also appealed it to District Court and again lost there! Both times MN COURTS SIDED WITH KC and in fact placed a JUDGEMENT AGAINST [Member Name Removed] FOR MONEY HE OWED US!! So his above complaint against us is obviously fabricated, lacks truth and is merely him trying to retaliate because he lost. [Member Name Removed] agreed to the pay KC additional money (not on original bid) for drywalling his entire kitchen after damage was found inside his walls due to faulty wiring. We completed it, he refused to pay. All proven in court, which is why he lost and has a judgment against him. [Member Name Removed] was encouraged to have multiple electrical bids and KC would work with whomever he chose. The judge found NO FAULT OF KC for the licensed electrician which passed city inspections that [Member Name Removed] testified he researched, hired, contracted, and paid separately. We are unfortunately dealing with an attorney who's ego was bruised losing twice in MN courts and he cannot let it go. He has harassed us with negative reviews to the point other sites have banned him and he may be facing reprocussion from the MN Rules of Professional Conduct for attorneys. It is unfortunate there are people out there who cannot accept losing and will go to great lengths 2 years later. Kohner Construction is very happy to provide any client a copy of this court order to support our comments above. We work very hard to have repeat customers and referrals by ensuring our quality, price and customer service are the best you will find out there."
