Original work was fine but expensive. However, after we had tiles crack within the first year trying to contact the company was a nightmare. They would not respond to emails and the only way we connected was to pretend we were new customers and had a new project! They agreed they could repair the cracked tile but then we discovered they were charging us $600 to replace four tiles that were obviously installed incorrectly originally. Stay away!

The K2 team is very creative. I was planning on getting a hot tub and wanted to build a nice deck to accompany it. Steve had great ideas that made the end product better than I had imagined. The craftsmanship was high quality and faster than I expected The project was well managed and communicated. I would recommend K2 Custom Exteriors to anyone.

carpenters were friendly, highly skilled and very personable. worked relentlessly in extreme heat, and rain. very conscientious about their work , even making sure all screws and nails were in a perfectly straight line

They were very easy to work with. They asked all our questions, gave good suggestions. They were prompt, honest, and responsible.

Very efficient and quick at getting deck up and built. Didn't let weather really slow them down.

Easy to work with. The builders were awesome and did a great job. We had a salesman come out for the estimate who had not been on the job for very long, which caused a few issues, but Bill, the project manager, was very detail oriented and a pleasure to work with and he resolved snags quickly. Supply issues caused a few delays because the supplier was swamped in mid-May (no surprise there), but those issues were also handled quickly and professionally. The deck looks great.

Our deck and screenhouse are exactly what we wanted -- my wife's dream for several years and the realization of a design she created. Steve provided a cost estimate promptly and stayed in touch. He and Cyrus, the carpenter, understood wife Deb's ideas for the general design and brought them to life with superb craftsmanship, adding some details that improved the results. I built a deck myself at our last house, so I can appreciate sturdy, attractive construction that will last a lifetime. It has been a busy summer for K2, so the project's start got held up a bit after the planned date. That was our only disappointment, but the result was worth the wait. The cost is in line with what we expected and budgeted.

K2 had some organizational issues which caused the project to take much longer than expected. The craftsmanship was outstanding with the end result being a piece of art. The cost was on the high side, but will last a lifetime because of the solid construction.

Steve from K2 was quick to respond to our inquiry for an estimate. He came over and sat down with us to explain the process, why we don't have to worry about them starting a job, then taking a long time to finish, pricing, the type of wood, etc. He was very thorough with what to expect. He was also in contact with us almost daily to report the progress of the deck. Demolition of our old deck, construction of our new deck was very fast and efficient. The team was always respectful of our home - we hardly knew they were there!. This company is a bit pricey, but worth it. There were no glitches, and our deck, once it was demolished and city permits acquired, took about 2 1/2 days to complete. We were nervous about using a contractor as we've never hired one before and of course heard nightmare stories from friends and family - this was just not the case with K2 - they delivered everything on time and on estimate. I would use them again and would highly recommend them.
