I recently met Bruce Gates on a day when an insurance adjuster was to evaluate roof storm damage. Bruce and the adjuster went on the roof evaluated the damage and as it turned out the damage was minimal. Bruce advised me to withdraw the claim and preceded then to make the repairs himself. Working with insurance adjusters can be rather stressful but Bruce made the entire process simple and easy. I am very impressed with Bruce Gates and look forward to working with him on future projects.

Awesome. They were very quick, got the entire roof done in 1 1/2 days. There were many other houses in our neighborhood that were still being worked on after a week, so we were happy to have such quick service.

We are very happy with the work performed. Quality workmanship. Very responsive to our requests. Came and did the job when they said they would. We purchased the Golden Pledge Warranty from GAF and even if we had not, we would be very satisfied with how the job went. They did a great job cleaning up the yard.

This is the 5th time that we have used them for roofing. Their work is really good. They take care of dealing with the insurance company for me. I have never had a problem working with them. They clean up well. We have always been pleased with the results.

Project went relatively poorly. Work didn't begin until 6 months after the contract was signed, contractor was difficult to get ahold of and often did not respond to phone calls, they were unable to do the job for what insurance would pay, power washing was poor and incomplete, they used inferior siding and staining materials, and they never completed the power washing or staining on the deck. Five years later the job was still unresolved, and required 3rd party intervention. Consider carefully before choosing this company.

A young man came over and checked our roof for hail damage. He needed a paper signed to get permission to get on the roof. We told them at that time we were not interested in any contract of any kind. 6 months later they sent us papers from an attorney saying they were going to sue us for 15% which was about $3000. We wrote about 6 letters back until they finally quit. We have not heard from them in a long time now.

He has always done great work. He dealt with the insurance company for us, and took care of all the paperwork and calling. He was out right away and available when ever I needed him. I would highly recommend him.

They were amazingly professional, hard working and cleaned up after the job perfectly. Our job took almost two weeks and it was actually a pleasure to watch them work. Bruce Gates was great to work with. He followed up after the job was completed to make sure everything was done perfectly. I would recommend them to anyone.

We called Gates after receiving a flyer from them and seeing them working on neighboring homes. They got back to us quickly. We got the estimate and hired them after asking around about them. They started on the work and did a nice job. Once the work was completed, we had a few problems getting in touch with them to fix the problems. They are hard to get a hold of, but we finally did and the problems were fixed. I don't know if we would use them again or not.

The salesman was in the neighborhood right after we had severe hail damage and promised complete siding and roofing repair, without insurance problems, and completion dates within 3 months. The project took over one year for completion, completed by people that did not speak English. The subcontractors showed up unannounced, and one was actually intoxicated. I had the work inspected by my city inspector, and he stated it ''Probably met code requirements, but that it only met bare minimum standards.'' Bruce Gates was difficult to contact, did not communicate work plans, and at times was angry and defensive. The whole experience was frustrating.

He came out promptly to give a bid and then did the work quickly. It was done 3 days after my first phone call. We had a torrential rain a few days later and all is dry. His price was 30% lower than that of a more well known company and the well known company was requesting that my builder make some alterations before he would begin. He was willing to use some shingles that I had, which had been extras the last time the job was done.

They were very willing to sit down and listen to our requests and talk about the job, unlike some other companies. I felt like they really cared. They are top notch. In fact, we are considering having them do our siding as well.

GATES ROOFING WAS VERY PLEASANT TO WORK WITH AND DID A NICE JOB FOR A COMPETITIVE PRICE. WE EXPECTED OUR PROJECT TO BE COMPLETE IN ONE DAY. A MATERIALS DELAY FORCED GATES TO RETURN FOR A FEW HOURS ON A SECOND DAY TO COMPLETE THE JOB. WE HAD ONE CAP SHINGLE BLOW OFF DURING THE FIRST STORM FOLLOWING THE INSTALLATION AND THE INSTALLATION FOREMAN WAS OUT WITHIN TWO DAYS OF MY PHONE MESSAGE TO REPLACE IT. WE WILL CERTAINLY CALL GATES WHEN WE DECIDE TO RE-ROOF THE GARAGE AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.

THE PROJECT TOOK ALMOST FIVE MONTHS TO COMPLETE. I HAD TO KEEP AT GATES EVERY STEP OF THE WAY TO GET THE WORK FINISHED (THERE ARE STILL PILES OF DEBRIS LEFT THAT THEY DID NOT REMOVE).
