Great. Had a few other things they diagnosed that I need to repair soon

I tired replacing the rotors on my wife's car but ended up bending the dust shield just enough so it was rubbing the rotor, causing an annoying rubbing noise. Luckily Youngstedt's opened at seven, so I brought the car in for them to have a look. I was a little worried they charge me an arm and a leg, as I had no idea what the problem was.
They found the bent dust cover, bent it back, and only charged for a little more than an hour of labor. All before most other places had even opened. I appreciated their flexibility and honesty.

This location is close to my home, so I decided to try them out for a standard oil change. I thought the entire process went well considering the basic service - they were on time and the work was done, as promised. However, I was a little annoyed at the 'additional services' they said I 'needed.' They had a list of 15+ items that I needed fixing - over $1500 in charges. When I said I would pass on the additional services, the guy at the front desk lectured me about how I really needed to get these things done or it would be detrimental to my car. But instead of getting them fixed, I brought my car and the list to a trusted family mechanic, and they said that NONE of the items listed actually needed to be fixed. He said my filter was a little dirty, and told me how I could go to a local auto shop to buy one and install it on my own. A $1500 bill down to $6.95. Be careful with the services you choose with this mechanic.

Fairly well with exception that they misdiagnosed a suspected problem that to fix would have been very expensive. Luckily they did not have the part (tool) needed to fix the suspected problem (my vehicle is a newer model) and they recommended I take it to the dealership. Which I did and the dealership related that there was not anything wrong with item I came to them for but they did catch a couple things that Youngstedts overlooked in my maintenance. I will use Youngstedts again but it will be for oil changes and easy maintenance items like flat tires etc. They are very pleasant, professional, efficient and reasonable prices for things that are sometimes very expensive at dealerships.

Brought my car in by appointment, and it was in the shop within five minutes. Brian and his staff had me out in jig time, considering that they had to find parts for a 1993 Eagle Summit Wagon. That included a conversion kit (threaded fill adapters to change from using R12 to R34a Freon. R12 is not legal for sale anymore), a new Freon coolant filter (the old one could not be flushed clean). I am knowledgeable about cars. Brian and his staff have *never* tried to sell me anything that was not kosher. They do and will inform a customer about things they find that need attention, but the choice is left strictly up to the customer with no pressure unless the matter is a safety issue. I find this to be a case of doing business in a very professional, absolutely proper manner. They may not be the cheapest shop in town, but they are the most reliable and honest I have encountered. And yes, they do match pricing for any reasonable discounts. Tip: For repeat customers, ask Brian if he can help out a bit on the price. I highly recommend Youngstedt's Maple Grove Goodyear for all your automotive repair needs. By the way, at least three police groups use this shop for their repair and maintenance work, and consider Brian's shop to be an honest merchant (statement based on a comment from an officer dropping a cruiser for repair). They have good reason to know which shops are honest.

We were running errands on the Saturday of Memorial Weekend. Driving through an area where they were repaving, we hit a piece of metal in the road and blew out our tire. I threw on the spare and started looking for tire shops. The first was out of stock on the tire size we needed. We contacted this Youngsted's location and verified stock. They were able to get us in immediately, replace our tire (wasn't repairable...that's how bad it was), and get us on our way in about a half hour. The price was in line with what I expected. It was an unplanned and frustrating situation, but their courtesy and professionalism made it as painless an experience as possible.

Great staff - very accountable and knowledgable. They did not push and will price match!
