WICKES FURNITURE

I had made arrangements for my Dad to pickup the mattress from the warehouse and had given him the order number. When he gave them the number, they said they could not retrieve the information and could not give him the mattress. He was NOT happy since he drove several miles with a trailer in tow to get the mattress. I explained the situation the next day and they offered to deliver it for free. I appreciated that they owned up and fixed the problem.

WE BOUGHT FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY IN THE SUMMER OF 2004 AND ARE STILL HAVING COMPLICATIONS WITH STORE CREDIT CARD USED TO PURCHASE ITEMS. WICKES CHARGED OUR ACCOUNT FOR ITEMS WE DID NOT PURCHASE, WHEN CONFRONTED, UNAPOLOGETICALLY ADMITTED THEIR MISTAKE, THEN TOOK THE SAID ITEM OFF. NOW NEARLY A YEAR LATER, WICKES HAS PUT THE ITEM BACK ON OUR CREDIT CARD! WHEN I CALLED THE STORE TO HAVE THIS FIGURED OUT, THE PERSON IN ACCOUNTING JUST TOLD ME TO WRITE A LETTER TO THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY DISPUTING THE DEBT. SHE WAS VERY UNHELPFUL. OUR ALL AROUND EXPERIENCE WITH THIS DISASTER OF A STORE HAS BEEN HORRIBLE! THE SALESPERSON WHO SOLD US THE FURNITURE WAS RUDE, APPARENTLY HE WAS RETIRING THE NEXT DAY. WHEN WE FIRST GOT OUR BILL, WE HAD TO HAVE THINGS TAKEN OFF THAT WE NEVER ASKED TO BE PUT ON I.E. FURNITURE TREATMENT FOR $125! I AM AGHAST THAT THIS STORE WOULD TREAT US IN SUCH A WAY WHEN WE SPENT NEARLY $3000 THERE. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THERE AGAIN!!
