SPORTS AUTHORITY

When my son and I walked into the store, there were two employees at the cash registers socializing. They were not helping other customers and in fact there were no other customers within eyesight. When we walked past the employees, neither asked if they could be of assistance nor did they even acknowledge us. With the exception of going back to ask the employees at the registers, there was no one else around to provide assistance. We found the baseballs, picked one out and headed to the registers to pay. The young man that checked us out was friendly enough. I swiped my credit card and he did whatever he needed to do at the register and he said, and quot;there you go.and quot; He did not hand me the receipt. Instead, I had to ask him if that was my receipt that I could see. He made no attempt to give it to me, so I tore it off. I thought that was odd and perhaps I'm being petty, but my expectation is that the person ringing up my merchandise will complete the sale by handing me the receipt, not just expecting me to take it.
I typically avoid this store, because the two times I have shopped there in the last five years have been equally as miserable. The employees at this store are poorly trained. As I left with my son, I told him to remind me the next time we need to shop at a sporting goods store that Dick's is worth going out of our way.

They have reasonable prices on their products. There wasn't anyone there to help us, so we just had to pick it out ourselves.
