rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience demands it. My husband and I hired this company based on their positive reviews, but our experience was shockingly bad. The job was to remove two trees at our rental property. From the start, things went sideways— they dropped the trees carelessly, damaging multiple things throughout our landscaping (see photos for some examples) and left for the day with the neighbor’s driveway blocked by their work. Additionally, communication was lacking when it was known that this was a rental property and we needed to update our tenants on working times and plans. What originally was quoted to take a few hours took 7 days to finish with lots of broken promises of when they would show up. Nobody ever apologized for all of the damage. At the final walk-through, as instructed by the owner, we brought up our concerns to the supervisor, Juan. He acknowledged the damage and agreed in writing to a discount, and said they would return to help fix the damage. Based on that agreement, we issued payment. Hours later, Juan texted saying the owner, AJ, would not honor the full agreed upon deal. We stopped payment and told them we would pay as soon as our concerns were resolved. That’s when things escalated. AJ and Juan began harassing us with nonstop calls and texts, screaming, swearing, calling us names, and threatening to dump the tree debris back on our property if we did not pay immediately. All we wanted was for them to honor the original agreement and help us restore our property to how it was before they damaged it. We weren’t unreasonable or disrespectful at any point and had always planned to pay in full as soon as the repairs were completed. After many back and forths we did eventually agree and came to an acceptable conclusion, though still called names even after handing over payment. Bottom line: No customer deserves to be treated this way. We did nothing wrong. Clearly, we do not recommend.

We were VERY impressed with the work and the workers! A.J. the owner came out and walked thru our yard with us to see what we wanted and gave us good info to help us decide what we could do. He was so nice and patient. He gave us a written estimate and work date while he was there. On work day Dan the supervisor let us know when they would arrive and they were right on time. Dan then walked thru the yard to go over the plan again with us, he had all the right info. Then he and his crew got busy. They were amazing to watch. They each knew which trees to do their part in and when - it was really great teamwork. They chipped all the branches and pine tree and they raked and cleaned up everything from the lawn. The site was left clean and the trees look great. Dan and the team were all so nice, we really liked them. So we were very happy with their work.

MasterCut Tree Service did an amazing job today in helping me remove a tree that had fallen due to a storm. They were efficient in their work, polite in their service, more than fair with their pricing and the damaged area was all cleaned up afterwards! I highly recommend using MasterCut. I will be seeking their help again with other aging trees on my property.

The Mastercut crew came to my place yesterday to trim up 3 oak trees and remove 2 dead pine trees on my property. They did a wonderful job. Very hard working crew, excellent customer service, and very affordable pricing.

Overall the job went well. The price for the work done was fair. We had an issue with removal of the brush and the company responded appropriately. They did a phenomenal job cleaning up the brush. I expected there would be some cleanup to do after they left but there was none. I would hire the company to remove trees if needed in the future.

This company doesn’t use equipment; they use your house to break the fall of the tree. They asked for feedback and when I reported that there was a crack in my drywall, the owner AJ Berzins became combative and called me a liar. Told me that because I paid them the day of service, that I was absolving them of owning to make it right. You get what you pay for; they were the cheapest bid but professionals they are not! #DoNotUseMastercutTreeServices

"Time of the job you were home. You claimed you have a big crack in your sheetrock on the inside of your home. It would have been a HUGE HUGE tree that would've had to crash down on your roof to even consider that kind of damage. Especially the interior of a home. You said you heard a really loud boom time of the job and then you tell me this almost 2 months after the job was fully completed & closed. Why wasn't anything mentioned to me or management the time of the job since you were home? You happily paid us and said everything went great, the crew was awesome and you were very pleased. Just a little confused here. Then I did line up to have your roof assessed by a few different licensed roof inspectors and they said there was no damage caused from any big branches, limbs, etc. & took over 30 pictures which I have on file here. I'm sorry but we all came back empty handed. I tried to help and figure all this out for you but this wasn't from my crew. If there's anything else you need from me please call."

I left a message at MasterCut and AJ responded quickly. He gave us an estimate for the trees we wanted removed and also assessed our other trees. His estimate was reasonable, and an appointment was set up to remove 4 trees. Dan and the crew arrived on time. They were courteous and professional. They took care not to tear up the lawn. They did the work in a timely fashion and did a fine job of cleaning up. We will definitely use them again for our future needs. The customer service was great!

AJ, Dan and the rest of the MasterCut crew are great to work with! They are extremely knowledgeable, reasonably priced, professional, on-time, courteous, cleaned up everything when they were completed with the job, prompt on returning phone calls and/or emails and we received immediate service with the estimate completed the next day and the job completed 2 days later. Putting your trust into a company you do not know very well is really hard however I can testify that MasterCut Tree is a trustworthy company and worth every penny! I would highly recommend this company!!

Very prompt, courteous , Dan called and set up the free estimate for the same day I Requested one. Came out 3 days later . Did all services requested while I was at work .
