I originally contacted Mark to do mowing on a small yard.  I believe the cost was $40/mow.  The service provided was fine.  I did feel that the cost was rather high considering the size of the yard.

The trouble came when I extended our service to include snow removal.  I requested snow to be removed from the short driveway, short sidewalk, and front stoop of a small 60's style rambler home belonging to my elderly mother.  The price set was $100/month.  During the first snowfall the sod was torn up by the plow and the sidewalk and stoop weren't shoveled.  I called Mark and he said that he would fix the lawn first thing in the spring and said that he would advise his driver to shovel the walk.  The second, third, and fourth snowfalls came and still the walk and stoop were not shoveled.  And to add insult to injury, the plow pulled out a landscape timber from a retaining wall and deposited it, with a landscape spike sticking up under the snow in the middle of the sidewalk.  It was an accident waiting to happen.  This would have been discovered if the driver would have shoveled the walk.  (As I had to do -driving 40 min. each way every time his driver skipped shoveling the walk!)  After many phone calls over a months time, Mark's crew finally started shoveling the walk and stoop.  (And again, promises were make to fix the retaining wall the first thing in the spring.)  After going for an entire month without receiving part  of the service that I had contracted for, I had expected that there would be a small adustment to my bill.  To my surprise, the bill was adjusted up instead of down.  The first bill that I received had a $3.00 fuel surcharge/visit added to it.  The total addition to my bill was $12.00.  I was never notified of a potential fuel surcharge and the charge was placed retroactively.  I found the charge to be accessive.  I did not pay the first month surcharge and told Mark that I considered it notification of the potential for future fuel surcharges.  After that month, Mark charged me $3.00/month fuel surcharge.  

As winter turned to spring, I contacted Mark to set a date to fix the sod and repair the retaining wall that his driver had damaged.  Mark said that his crew would make the repair the following week..  The following week came and went with no repairs done.  I contacted Mark again and told him that we were placing the house on the market for sale in mid May and that we were anxious to complete the repairs as soon as possible.  Again he promised to get a crew out to make the repairs.  And again, no repairs.  We finally had to make the repairs ourselves as we ran out of time.  He called me in May to say that his crew was coming out after we had already made the repairs.  So much for "I'll make the repairs the first thing in the spring"!  I found the whole experience with Mark to be extremely frustrating.  His customer service skills are totally lacking.  In hind sight we should have cancelled service with him after the first month.  We had decided to stay with his service so that we could have him complete the repairs that he had caused.  When it came down to it, he couldn't even get that right.  I definitely would not recommend this service.

They are absolutely awesome! They get you on their weekly schedule and they come the same day every week so you know when your lawn is going to be mowed. When they did they fall cleanup I did not even have a twig in my yard! They were amazing. The prices were so reasonable. I have a bigger yard and I definitely thought it was worth it. I could not believe how inexpensive it was.
