Our was great and timely to begin - then one of the last items to pout inn was the countertop. It wasn't correct- b/c of holidays it took longer to receive 2nd one - it was incorrect. It took 5 times before it worked. Correct measuring was rough Foote them. We also requested our light be raised and that didn't happen b/c it was addressed too late and walls had already been mudded and painted. I wouldn't recommend Blaine Lowes. The contractor we did really like - they did great work. Send date should have been Dec 10 or so and we didn't finish until mid March.

I had never in my life bought carpet before.  I signed up for Angie’s List so that I would choose someone that was highly rated.  I have a large “L” shaped room and I picked a carpet that has a pattern to it.  When they installed it, the pattern didn’t match.  When I talked to Lowe’s, they went back to the installer and they were told the people measured it two to three inches short and that’s why the pattern didn’t match.  They got back to me again and asked me if I wanted to order that carpet again or perhaps I should think about different carpet because it was going to be difficult to make it look good.  I thought that was their job.  It didn’t set well that they told me that perhaps I should start all over again.  The carpet was installed on August 17 and they sent another installer out today to complete the job and finish it.  Now I am very happy but it’s been a long, drawn-out process.  When the original installer was here, he took my oak doors off and put them on my bathroom floor and marked the floor so I’m still not done.  It was a negative experience.  I was fine with the price but not with the work I received.  They should do their own work or not have people wearing their name.  The first installer would get a “D” and the second installer gets a “B.”

At first, it went better than I thought it would! The price was awesome (I called a 2nd time the same morning & the price for installation went went down!). The young man was punctual, personable and professional. He even said I could go out and buy my own gas shutoff valve (update to code), or I could pay an additional $50 for him to get it. A half hour later I returned with the valve and saved $32!

However, the installer (employed by Crew2) may have been a little inexperienced with soldering copper pipes in tight areas: the plastic gromets (or whatever they're called) surrounding the pipes on the top of tank were a little melted from the soldering a couple inches above. This turned out to be a problem as the water heater was leaking about 3 months later. But we needed to replace it (again) anyway; code requirements dictated that we install a water heater with a different type of combustion intake/exhaust system for our basement renovation project.

Calls to Lowes were not successful in getting someone to come out and inspect the heater. They said the manufacturer would stand by the heater itself, but that Lowes would not stand behind the install. So now we can't even sell the water heater on the 2nd hand market!

Overall, I had higher expectations for Lowe's and they need to greatly improve the knowledge of their staff, ensure they have samples of ALL options and improve customer service.

Counter installer was prompt, neat, did an excellent job. He even unhooked water, disposal, dishwasher that a plumber was supposed to come out and unhook. He also called Lowe's to check on plumber, who was only scheduled for a "hook up", not an "unhook". Plumber Co. called me and said they schedule hookups 24 hours after counters installed. Since this was a Friday, it was set up for a Monday which was a little inconvenient. Monday the plumber came, discovered part of the garbage disposal was taken with the old sink....I had to run out and find a specific brand of disposal to fit the parts already installed. Another slight inconvenience. But now everything is hooked up, working beautifully, my counters are beautiful! Overall I am very pleased with everything. I have just learned I need to ask more questions so I know what to expect. I would definitely use Lowe's again.
