Horrible. Took twice as long as quoted, the installers ruined my in-floor radiant heating system, and the first install had to be redone - the floors were insanely uneven and much higher than the adjacent floors. They wanted leave it that way and shave off my original hardwood doors to make room for their mess. I also had to pay extra for the extra materials they needed to finish the job halfway decently.

I hired KW floors based on a contractor recommendation. The job was to replace 170 square feet of tile with engineered hardwood. The quote seemed reasonable, but once the installation started, things fell apart. The installer generally showed up late and left early. The first attempt at installation was a disaster, with the floor exceeding the height of the other rooms by the full thickness of the material and sections of the room being laid at at least a 10% angle. They had to tear the entire floor out and start over. The job ended up taking 11 days and the quality of the final work was average at best. But the biggest disappointments were the overcharge and the complete lack of respect for my home displayed by the installer. When the work was completed, I was informed that I would be charged over 20% above quote because the installation required floor leveling. My home is over 100 years old and I pointed out the unlevel floors at the intial appointment. The idea that they would expect the floors to not require leveling was completely unrealistic, and it felt like a bait and switch. As to the care they took for my home, they: 1) did not cover anything with plastic and it's going to take me months to clean the house appropriately; 2) left a mess at the end of every day, e.g., piles of broken tile and concrete; 3) dumped a bucket of frozen concrete slurry on my patio; 4) left debris all over my yard and crushed my downspout; 5) destroyed a good piece of trim at the top of my basement stairs, which needed to be replaced with trim that doesn't match; 6) left wood putty on the carpet on my basement stairs and 7) left nails behind that I'm still finding.
Description of Work: Replaced tile floors in kitchen and sun room with engineered hardwood.

I have done business with them for a lot of years and have never been disappointed. Quality is always great, and even more importantly to me, they stand behind their work and warranty it. The latest job was a solid 3/4" prefinished wood floor. They installed when we wanted it, and it looked great. I would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: They installed wood floors in a new home.

We ended up having to settle with their insurance company because they did such a horrible job on the floors. We thought we were hiring them but they subcontracted out and gave our key to their subcontractor; in all honesty, I could not recommend KW Floors to anyone?even my own worst enemy. If it hadn?t been for their insurance carrier we went back against, we would still be stuck with horrible floors. Because Liberty Mutual stepped up to the plate, we were made whole. The bamboo flooring wasn?t purchased through them, they were just the installer.
Description of Work: They installed brand new bamboo floors.
