They are excellent with cats. They put them at ease. My cats don't like the vets. I had to take my other cat to another vet, and they were more expensive. He had diabetes. Animal Wellness couldn't do the surgery. He never like the vet, but Animal Wellness he is put at ease. Animal Wellness has an area just for cats, and just for dogs. They have pheromones that calm cats down. They spray it on them before they examine them. They are a little more expensive than some vets that you could go to. Sometimes you can't get your cat in for a few days, they are pretty busy. When you have an appointment, you only have to sit for an couple of minutes.

They're not cheap, but what you pay for is top notch veterinarians.

They have equipment I didn't even know I was missing before, really the top tier.

The doctors for the most part are knowledgeable and skilled. The vet techs are pretty good but have pretty lousy interpersonal skills.

We have decided to change vets primarily for one reason, the upselling at this clinic is horrible. Every time we bring our dog here resolution of the issue takes several visits. When coupled with the steep fee structure as well as nickel and dime add on fees there are several better care options at more reasonable prices within miles of this location.

Dr. Engmann saw my dog for an ear hematoma. She was wonderful explaining my options. She wanted to be conservative with the treatment since my dog has some other health issues. I received a couple of follow up calls to check on the growth of the hematoma. Since it was getting larger, we discussed other options. Since I do not live near the center, Dr. Engmann offered to call the prescription in to a location that would be convenient for me. I received wonderful service and several check-ins since I was feeling nervous about the issue (I am an involved pet owner).

They do great follow up. They called me both times to see how the dog was doing after we were in there. He did it on time and they take their time with you to answer your questions.

Dr. Cassie Engmann was our vet during this visit. Since she had recently seen my dog, the weight loss and health decline was a concern. She was wonderful at explaning the possible health issues and what the next steps should be. After the visit, she made calls to the specialists who could perform the ultrasound and give me the options. She also made a follow up call to check on my pet since I had been referred to an animal hospital.

We have been going to Animal Wellness Center since 1986 with our first dog. Dr. Apker and her colleagues are top notch all of the way. In July we had to put our elderly and sick dog down. They could not have made the experience any easier and heartfelt during the very hard situation.They don't offer the least expensive service in the area, but I think you can be assured that it is THE most professional.

My yorkie-poo stayed at Animal Wellness Center for 12 days while I was on vacation. I was very nervous about leaving her anyplace, and had checked out numerous facilities in the Twin Cities area, but decided on Animal Wellness because of the staff, location, and facility itself. I took her for a couple of day care days in the months prior to leaving on vacation and she seemed to do well. While on vacation, I was able to check on her via the internet whenever she was in her room. When I picked her up, the staff reported she did well and enjoyed playing with the other dogs. They bathed her and trimmed her nails the day before I was to pick her up after vacation. She was happy to get home, and appeared to have no ill effects from her stay and I would certainly use Animal Wellness Center for boarding again even though their rate is a little higher than some of the other places I checked out. It was worth the expense.
I have not used their vet services.

I think they are exceptionally caring and helpful in the situation I was in. They kept me well informed and took the time to evaluate the problem my cat was experiencing. They were very gentle towards my cat and I appreciate their care towards the problem. I highly recommend this clinic and will use them again in the future.

The vets, techs, and staff at AWC could not have been more caring and devoted to our animals. We recently had to make the hard decision to put our beloved German Shorthair down, and their sympathy and gentleness helped us through an extremely difficult time. They were respectful of the dog's needs as well as ours and helped us to time the decision purposefully. With their help, we were able to give our beautiful girl every day she had available while sparing her unnecessary pain. My GSP was enormously strong (and, I confess, not very well disciplined) but they managed her with good humor and love. I continue to trust my other fur-baby to AWC and they have my full support.

We were in the process of switching vets. They gave us a tour and we were very happy. During the physical, they found she had a virus and they gave her some medication. We now have a follow up appointment scheduled. We will be taking our second canine there sometime in October.

We're new to this vet. Dr. Marie Nation took extra time learning my cats' long medical history and answering my many questions. Great "bedside manner" and sincere interest in our pets' health. One cat needed biopsy and medication; Dr. Nation has been great following up to explain results of test and checking to see how things are going. Reception staff has been efficient but not especially warm.
