Powerfully Green

We have been very pleased with the 4.8 kW system that was installed but disappointed in the company’s failure to respond to my emails, online requests and phone calls about a burned-out panel that is under warrantee by the manufacturer. The system has stopped working and we had hoped the company would at least make recommendations about how to fix our problem. It couldn't have gone better. We really love working with Rebecca and Dan because they are all about what's possible. When we said we wanted more panels, they didn't talk about the difficulties of integrating two separate systems, but instead chose to focus on the possibilities. Their enthusiasm and positivity encouraged us to learn more and make more changes in our lives. They made not only our electric bill go to nothing, they help us live better.

We really appreciated that they cared about the things we cared about. We give special attention to the aesthetics of our 1924 bungalow, so they took care to check with us about not only where the panels were placed, they checked with us about the location of circuit boxes, wire conduits and other equipment.

Their customer service is superb. The first time we had hail, they were willing to check out the solar panels on our house (we could see the panels on our garage were fine). And when the inverter failed (the electronic box that converts DC electricity to AC), they responded quickly, and made all the arrangements necessary to have it replaced at no cost to us. When we were first connected to the grid, we had problems with our Xcel bill, but Rebecca in particular really advocated for us, including helping us write a letter to the Public Utilities Commission, which got our problem straightened out right quick!

Rebecca and Dan have consistently been available for questions or concerns as they've arisen (mostly due to our misunderstanding of how the systems work). They're easily reached by phone, email, and through Facebook. Rarely has it taken them more than a half a business day to get back to us. 

The customer service of Rebecca and Daniel was exceptional. The passion for their work was contagious. I called them at the beginning of March and we made an appointment to get the solar site assessment. After that I got six proposals a couple of days later. We had many conversations on the phone where Rebecca would explain every detail of the system and why they had chosen that option.  She was very patient with all of my questions and answered them promptly.  One month later they presented a final option with some minor changes based on our conversations. We signed the contract and they gave us a tentative project schedule on contingency of good weather. The project went on schedule even if on some of those days we had bad weather. Powerfully Green is a great Minnesota company.

This is a great company--I would call them for any future solar system needs.  The glass on one of our thermal collectors had shattered ( as tempered glass does sometimes) when we pulled snow off it last December.  We tried for months to get it fixed by the company that originally installed the system (another Minneapolis solar installation company) and the repair kept getting delayed because they said it was too difficult to get the glass panel.  I had to find someone else, because it was being put off for 4 months.  I found Powerfully Green on Angie's List.  I called them and spoke with Rebecca who said they would get back to me within 24 hours--and they called back much sooner than that!  Dan put in my order right away with the manufacturer, drove from the Twin Cities to Alexandria MN and  back to pick up just 1 glass panel and they installed it within 2 weeks!!!  Their customer service is superb.  The price was just as quoted (also $350 less than the other company).  They were right on time and above all did great work.  This is no doubt the best solar company in the Twin Cities.  I am very grateful to them.

One word for Rebecca Lundberg & Dan Williams from Powerfully Green--Amazing. They were unfailingly thorough and professional, never missing a detail and answering all our questions throughout the process. They did a great job. Dan & Rebecca know solar energy systems inside and out and they were incredibly responsive. They did all of the rebate application work for us, made sure that we got all the required State and Xcel Energy approvals before moving forward and did a fabulous job of coordinating with our City Planners to help rewrite City Code so our installation could progress! I can't believe how hard they work and everything was done on time. Our solar project--extensive as it was--was made even more of an adventure by the fact that we were having a lifetime-warranted metal shingle roof installed at the same time as the solar installation. The two projects were absolutely intertwined and their communication & coordination were excellent. When an unanticipated issue came up with the fit between the solar attachments on the roof and the flashing, Powerfully Green went the extra mile by having the new standoffs delivered Next Day Air Early AM at their own expense--just to make sure we didn't have any delays. Our entire experience with Powerfully Green was far above what we could have anticipated. Everything was done really well, on-time and with professionalism that was exceptional. I recommend them wholeheartedly and we are so glad we chose them for our installers!
