PAIDEA CHILD DEVELOPMENT CTR

Our son has been at Paidea for two years and we have only positive things to say about his time here. There is a huge focus on kids' social/emotional well-being; and all of the staff truly get to know your child and help them grow, especially in those areas. The staff stay on long term (some more than 20 years!) and they're amazing people. They even teach parents how to do better with kids social and emotional needs. The kids spend lots of time outside and generally doing creative, age-appropriate activities. Our son often asks to stay longer or get dropped off earlier because it's so much fun! The center is super flexible with your schedule and allows families two unpaid weeks of vacation per year. Highly recommend this great community!

Paidea has been wonderful for our family. This is much more of a community than just a day care or preschool program. The entire family is supported with parent nights, and this is very helpful to be more consistent at home with the children. The staff is very engaged and energetic with very low turnover. The summer vacation policy is very generous which helps for families that are also teachers as well as to help promote additional family time. Of course the children absolutely love attending Paidea, as they are treated with respect, and listened to. The children are also very respectful of others as well and excel at communication and emotional skills. I would highly recommend Paidea.

We have been involved with Paidea for three years and counting. My two children attended preschool at Paidea and are now involved in the summer camp program for school age children. I cannot say enough good things about this school. The staff turnover is very low, making for a stable environment for the children. Teachers are warm, loving and engaged with the children. I love the school's monthly parent meetings, where parents join together under the guidance of the Director and school teachers and discuss all the various parenting issues that we deal with on a daily basis. These meetings provide invaluable support for the parents!
I interviewed four schools in the Woodbury/Oakdale area when it was time for my girls to start preschool. I knew right away that Paidea was the right school for my kids. The focus was clearly on the growth and happiness of the children. The routine is structured but not rigid and the environment encouraged open-ended play where the kids exercised their creativity as well as their bodies.
Paidea feels like home and my kids always ask to come back to Paidea when it is time to sign up for summer camp. They are both in elementary school now (1st and 2nd grade) and they are excelling both socially and academically. Teachers often comment on what good citizens my girls are, how helpful and supportive they are to their classmates and what good leaders and problem solvers they are. I know those skills come from their time at Paidea!

Paidea is a great child care provider. The focus is on the kids and teaching them lessons they can use for the rest of their lives. The Preschool program was great for both of my children (boy and girl). When both children entered Kindergarten they were both ahead of many of their peers thanks to everything they learned at Paidea. One of the things that really stands out for me is that my kids are now 8 and 10 and they still want to return to Paidea each summer for summer camp. The kids really enjoy Paidea and as a parent I know they are having fun while learning valuable life lessons. I would highly recommend Paidea to anyone and often do when the opportunity presents itself.
