Dupont Decks is a family-owned business that was founded by Justin Dupont in January 2000. Justin worked for many years as a crew foreman for other construction and remodeling companies and noticed that most of the companies lacked in the area of communication and customer service. Being a homeowner himself, he knew that customer service and communication were two of the most important qualities needed in running a successful remodeling business. And so Dupont Decks was created. We take great pride not only in our excellent craftsmanship, unique custom building and design process and high quality materials, but also in the fact that we treat our customers just like we would want to be treated if we were doing a deck or porch project on our own home. We know that our customers are the most important part of our business. Good. Clean-up was a bit of a problem. They needed to use a drop cloth underneath their work area. I was picking up screws and nails and bits of aluminum for weeks.

The work that was done and the service I received from this company were both outstanding. Justin, the owner of the company, was a delight to work with. He was professional, helpful, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. Kirsten did an outstanding job on the administrative part of the project. And Dan, who did the actual work was outstanding. His work is beautifully done, thoughtfully performed, and he did great on everything, including a perfect cleanup. I would definitely hire this company again. They went above and beyond.

Excellent from the first meeting through project completion. I’ve been a homeowner for 45+ years and have done a number of big and smaller projects. Have worked with some very good and some not so good contractors. Dupont Construction is one of the best. Justin and Brooke were great in responding to questions and keeping me current on the project. Very helpful in the design process and in selecting materials to use. Took care of all the details (permits, material delivery etc) and made this as painless as possible. The 3 man crew did deck removal and rebuild in 3 days. Quality of work was excellent. No mess left behind-they worked like a well oiled machine. Would recommend Dupont with no hesitation.

Wonderful! They did a great job on a deck that wasn't done correctly the first time around. Being a senior citizen, I needed a deck which needed little or no maintenance and Dupont delivered. They gave me an estimated time of 4-5 days for completion and they did that under rainy conditions. My deck looks so nice now that it is completed. He did a great job and brought it up to code. He also made an opening in the deck so I could easily access my outdoor faucet.

I liked the owner immediately when he came to give the quote. He was very thorough and explained all the issues he could see with the project. He was very professional and prepared. He came with a book of photos of jobs done and samples for me to look at. Right away I saw ideas in the photos that I would have never thought of. He was one of three companies I had come out for a quote. I asked them for ideas for the deck and they didn't offer an). After our discussion, I had one of the other companies come back out to see if they could do some of the things Dupont could. They could not. Replacing the deck was a lot more costly than we had expected, but after getting all the quotes back he was right in line with the others. He was a little higher but he was doing all the extras that the other companies couldn't. Working with Kristen over the phone was excellent too. I was unsure of what kind of lights to install and we were interested in trying a different kind of baluster. I was having a hard time visualizing it. She helped by sending me lots of photos of different styles and contacted a previous customer for permission for me to look at their deck. She offered ideas and suggestions and was always so friendly and helpful. As for building the deck, they were prompt and started the job a week earlier than expected. The men wasted no time and had excellent workmanship. We were a little worried that replacing the posts would break up our concrete. (the other contractor was reluctant to do this) They did it perfectly. We LOVE our deck. We get so many complements on it! Everyone who sees it comments on how beautiful it is. We couldn't be happier. From the initial contact to the completion of the project everyone was great to work with. I highly recommend them for any job you have!!

Went great! From estimate to completion, everyone was wonderful. Family owned company. Very polite and professional from beginning to end. Jason was great with the estimate, and made some good recommendations. Brooke in office was also good. Installers were quick and professional. Deck looks fantastic, and am looking forward to using it! They were quick at getting me on the schedule, and finished before they said they would.

Dupont did a great job replacing our old 20+ year old deck with a new cedar deck, complete with a privacy fence, aluminum spindles, and a gate to the stairs. They completed the project in just 4 days and it looks great! We found a few boards that had slight imperfections and the team was quick to have them replaced. There was also a small miscommunication on the spacing of the boards on the privacy fence, but again, the team was easy to work with and they were able to adjust to our liking right away. We are happy with the project and eager to enjoy many summers on our new deck!

We researched around 20 companies before moving forward with our deck project. Living in a new development we were also able to reference varying experiences/results from our neighbors. While we found pricing was relatively comparable across the options, we were struggling to find anyone with decent customer service. You could almost anticipate the problems and issues that would arise after meeting with a lot of the companies. Then we came across Dupont Construction… During our initial meeting they listened to our ideas and took time to understand how we wanted to use the space. (They didn’t even laugh at my homemade “blueprint”). Every communication touch point was polite, timely, and clear. Dupont never gave us the impression we were just one of many projects on their to-do list, and took time to answer questions. They kept us informed along the way, so we were never left wondering what was going on. This respect continued with the construction as well. The workers kept the area very clean (critical with a lot of kids running around the yard after hours), and they didn’t blast loud music, smoke, or use profanities (like we saw with companies neighbors used). Little things like that make a big difference, and show that Dupont has high standards. We are very happy with the results, and will certainly recommend Dupont to anyone!

The project went very smoothly. We changed the design of the existing deck. Justin was very thorough and laid out the plan with written instructions and drawings. The office support personnel, Kristen and Brooke were very helpful and responsive. The main members of the crew were Lowell and Joe, who were very professional and accommodating. They also leveled the porch on one side and replaced footings, because it had sagged over time. The finished deck easily passed inspection and looks great. I am very pleased with the result.

We couldn't be happier with how our raised deck turned out. Dupont Construction was very easy to work with. They answered all our questions before, during and after the construction. Wonderful attention to detail. AZEK decks are expensive. We got several bids and Dupont was the least expensive, even before the Angie's List discount. If you are going to spend money on a deck, make sure it is done right and hire Dupont.

It couldn't have gone better! Justin Dupont came to my home to assess the project and give me a bid. I interviewed 3 deck companies for this project and the price of his bid was in the middle. He introduced me to the Azek line of composite material for deck construction, brought many many sample of colors and lots of photos of completed projects. Scheduling was mainly through email with his wife Brooke, who could not have been more responsive. This is the kind of communication you dream of with independent construction people but so rarely find. My emails were always answered promptly, and I will say that we had quite a lot of scheduling to do with the unexpected 19" of snow in April! Nevertheless, their 2-man construction team was prompt, efficient and hard working--even in the 20 degree weather. In addition--they were neat and tidy, going so far as to clean debris from the dumpster out of my driveway so the snow plows could do their job. An all around excellent experience.

Great - they were competitively priced, weren't booked too far out, and were able to complete the project in about 9 days once onsite. Deck looks great, is true to the design and color. Had a couple of minor follow-up items and they were quick to respond and remediate. Only minor 'ding' i'd give is the guy who came to wash the deck and clean-up at the end of the process did just an 'ok' job - not bad, but not totally thorough either. All in, very happy with the service and extremely happy with the finished product!

Perfectly! They actually came out earlier than planned to build the deck (a huge plus!) and did an excellent job completing the project within the scheduled time. The work was clean, the area cleaned up afterwards, and they treated the house well. No issues with this project and I would absolutely hire them again!
