Patio was perfect their work was and time of completion was perfect. Two years later I had a sidewalk put in the experience was horrible. It was very rainy very understandable that the work could not be done when they told me they would be out there to work on the sidewalk. However they never called to let me know that they would have to cancel, just a phone call would of been nice. I would have to call them to see when there where coming to do the project. There was a heated phone call with the owner of the company about when the work was to be done. I was concerned about my flowers which I have spent many $$ landscaping mine yard. We agree on a time. I was out of town when they came out to do the job. I got home to fine my gardens completely change, when they lay down the sod they did not cut the sod into the curving gardens that I had them. The garden now became square, they rearranged all the rocks I had out in my gardens plus the plants that I had in my garden. Not only did they do that but they put class 5 where I park my car, this was never discussed. They made more work for them. The sidewalk is beautiful but everything that went with was not acceptable.

They were very good. We have used them for 2 seasons. The price is for the season. They have a very respectful work team and cleared the driveway appropriately. If it is a very heavy snow fall they come a couple of times, if it is light they will come when it stops. They are very accommodating, we had some friends over and they let us jockey cars around to get the driveway completed.

I use McDonough Landscaping.  They were here last in March of 2017.  I have a snow plowing contract with them for a whole season.  I pay it by the season.  They do quality work.  They are very reliable, and respectful, courteous.  The workers were great. 

Andy did an excellent job on explaining how they would do the work.  Everything was done in one day except for the sod I wanted put on the side yard.  All the employees were very nice and helpful.  They help me decide on how high up I should trim the branches on the two pine trees in the front yard. They did a great job of cleaning up and removing all the shrubs and branches.  Andy came back another day with information on how to water the seed.  They came back when the sod was ready to put on the side yard in May.  I was very happy with what they did and would hire them again.  

They listened and responded to what I needed.  I didn't want to spend thousands on a beautiful landscaped yard but needed some work done.  They didn't try to up-sell.  The grass is comiing in slowly this Spring but I feel that they will respond should I have concerens.

Matt and his team was the only contractor we contacted that actually listened and worked on a real solution to water issues we were concerned about. Other contractors seemed to want to focus on additional features and not on the specific problems dealing with the grade and water flow. Matt came in and gave us a couple possible solutions with pros and cons to think about. He also devised a way to grade the yard and use multiple drain solutions to help divert the water away from the house in a way that was both invisible and beautiful. We are extremely pleased with the attention the team gave to the various stages of work, from the grading, drain system, retaining walls, gravel, grass, mulch, boulders, and plantings. It was amazing to watch it all come together. The team even saved most of the plants and worked hard to incorporate them in the new yard (free of charge)...awesome. We now have a beautiful back yard, that no longer floods the house during rains.
I would like to add that Matt also was very helpful in working with our neighbor during this project. The project required partial grading and sodding of our neighbor's vacant yard to help with the water issues. He was able to show the neighbor that this project actually would benefit the neighbor and possibly increase the value of the lot. He did a perfect job and their yard looks great.
In short, we have lived in this house about a year now and our neighbors tell us all the time how great our backyard looks, and we do not worry about water issues any longer...Thank you Matt and the rest of the guys.

Matt came out and gave us an extremely fair bid, he was professional and gave us alot of great ideas. We only had 2 weeks before the wedding and decided to do the landscaping last minute. Matt was able to get us an estimate right away and the work was started a couple of days later. They were in and out in no time and left a beautiful raised garden. It was gorgeous.
We had so many compliments on our wedding day with all of the beautiful work that was done.

They did excellent work, but they weren’t very receptive to our ideas. They didn’t pay attention to what we wanted. We wanted the water on our driveway to drain off. They graded in such a way that it was almost even with our driveway and so the water doesn’t drain correctly. I probably might not use their services again.

Matt came out to meet with me to discuss the project in early April. He was on time, clearly understood what I wanted to accomplish, asked good questions and made excellent suggestions. He returned a couple days later with a detailed proposal, including sketches and itemized cost breakdown, that accurately set out what I was looking for. While the price was higher than the other proposals I had obtained, the McDonough proposal demonstrated a substantially higher level of professionalism, experience, and excellence, demonstrated in part by the 12-point customer gaurantee included in the proposal. I been recently frustrated in a residential construction project when I went with the lowest bidder and wanted to avoid that result again. I got exactly what I wanted from McDonough. My phone calls were quickly returned and they were able to work around my existing conflicts to promptly schedule an install date that worked. On the day the work was done, the crew showed up on time, in clean, professional uniforms, and quickly set to work. By the time I returned home from work, everything was done, and done perfectly. There was no debris or any other indication that the a landscaping project had recently been completed. Matt and his crew foreman were there that evening to walk me through the property, show me everything they had done, and answer my questions. However, I had no questions because all of their work exceeded my expectations. Even so, Matt was dissatisfied with how one section of the fence had turned out, and returned the following day to install a new fence post and backer rails. All in all, the work done was of the highest quality and all of my wife's and my interactions with Matt and his crew were both friendly and professional. I can't really imagine how the project could have gone any better.
