I reached out to Joe at Twin City Home Remodeling for a quick turn quote on a window project. After our great experience with TCHR installing new windows in our current home a couple of years ago, when I needed a quote for windows for a new property I knew who to call. We had limited time within the inspection period to get the information so that we could be informed about the costs of a new house. Joe again went above and beyond and turned around a quote in the limited time needed. These guys do quality work and are great to work with. In 2018 I hired Twin City Home Remodeling to replace the windows in our 1924 bungalow. I wanted windows that maintained the quality feel of the home. The TCHR team was knowledgeable and great to work with from start to finish. They answered all of my questions and did high quality work. They custom stained the window to match each section of our home beautifully. There was an issue with the manufacturing and Joe went above and beyond to make things right. I would highly recommend them.

Our 1965 house had original windows that were in bad shape and needed replacement. After several bids we chose Twin Cities Home Remodeling, about mid-range in our budget. So glad we did! They are so wonderful and professional to work with on all fronts: product quality, timeliness, installation, trim, and finishing; everyone is a true craftsman. Really excellent work! Twin City Home Remodeling replaced all 20 windows, which were original windows in our 1961 house. They also replaced the front entry door and screen door. We couldn't be happier with the windows, front door, and screen door that were installed by Steve, the installer. We were also very impressed by the painting of the wood trim around the windows, which was done by Jason. We were very happy about the time it took to complete the project, which was less than 9 days total. Our entire experience with the company was exceptional, including Joe the owner, Steve, Jason, and the rest of the staff. We will hire them again for our future remodeling needs.

The job: - Remove the old vanity and replace with a new custom-built Shaker-style vanity cabinet. - Add a custom-fit granite countertop to vanity and a removable granite shelf over the toilet, set on heavy brackets. - Install vessel sink, faucet & non-overflow drain. (Customer supplies vessel sink, vessel faucet & popup drain.) - Remove a swath of random tile in the tub enclosure and line tub enclosure with Onyx tub surround - Add black 2” mudcap tile supplied by customer around entire perimeter of ceiling, to act as crown moulding. - Resurface the existing bath tub. - Replace the tub drain, overflow and connecting pipe. - Remove the existing lighting (3 wall sconces) - Add 1 new pendant light, 2 new wall outlets and 3 switches. - Add a ceiling fan with light, vented through the roof to the outside. - Do minor sheetrock work to patch holes from electrics and old medicine cabinet removal. Note: Customer did the painting, finishes and restoration of the original 1950s vintage tile on floor and lower portion of walls. The guys were clean and respectful, and did great work on a very non-standard job spec. I’d definitely hire them again.

Tear out dust was contained. Project was laid out in an orderly fashion and coordinated with sub contractors on time. Supervisor checked in with us several times during project to see that we were satisfied with the workmanship and results. Worked with us to remove vanities for painting and large mirror and reinstalled them later in the project.

I have been working with Twin City Home Remodelers for several years now. We have a home that is 25 years old and was in need of updating. I hired them in the beginning because of their A+ rating and they have not disappointed. They have replaced two-thirds of our windows/doors, updated our three bathrooms, replaced all lights throughout the home (both inside and out), and most recently changed our popcorn ceilings to bead board ceilings and replace dour deck. I am extremely pleased with the work that they have done and as importantly, with the responsiveness I have received on every project I have hired them to do. They are true to their word which is what has brought me back to them time and time again. I will continue to use them for any future updates and would highly recommend them.

This work was done in the Summer of 2018, but I waited to review this company until after we got through the first winter with the new windows. The octagon window is in the entryway of a split-entry house. It has always formed condensation and ice dams for the 23 years we've been in this house. This was the first year that we didn't have an ice dam! I only had a trace bit of condensation once or twice and it was so minimal I could wipe it off with a mitten. Our overall heating bill was lower this winter too. Even with the -31 degrees during our January arctic blast! Joe and his team addressed all my questions, were courteous, professional, and on time! I will definitely use their services again when it's time to replace other windows.

This is the second time we hired TCHR to do some remodeling for us. They put in a basement bathroom two years ago and assisted with some plaster work in our basement family room and replacing a window in our utility room. We were so pleased with the work and the employees we had contact with that we decided to hire them for our kitchen product as well. This year we hired TCHR to remove a wall between our kitchen and dining room to open up the space. We replaced the cabinets, had the old "popcorn" ceiling remudded and replaced with the "knock down" style to provided seamless transitions between the rooms and to save a little cost between that and a smooth ceiling. We are very pleased with the quality of the cabinets we chose through a vender TCHR recommended. We did run into some quality control issues on a few pieces of the cabinets but both TCHR and the cabinet maker stood behind their products and service and we are very pleased with the end result. The quality control issues did extend the time-line of the whole project but we were able to use the kitchen even as we waited for some replacement pieces. We also had a window replaced that looked into our three season porch from the sink area (from an old double hung window), stone backsplash was added as well as granite counter tops to replace the old Formica style. TCHR worked with us to keep our current flooring (replaced about four years ago) to help us keep costs down there and they covered the floor throughout the process to avoid possible damage. John (project foreman), Steve, Terry and Jack were all good to work with once again as were the sub-contractors who were hired to do the electrical work and plumbing. Since we had uses for the old cabinets, we were able to remove them ourselves before TCHR began which helped us save some demolition costs (though TCHR would have removed them for us in such a way that would have permitted us to reuse them.) We were also able to do our own painting as needed in the kitchen and the dining room in coordination with the rest of the projects time-line as well as the staining and finishing of the window by the sink. We appreciated those options to help us hold some costs down as well.

The project was done efficiently in just 2 days with minimal fuss and mess. The person who worked on the project was an expert, and the entire process was hassle-free. The results are better than we had hoped. This was the 2nd time Twin City Home Remodeling has done work for us and we will call on them again.

The owner and crew were fantastic in all ways! Joe came to our house and discussed options and helped us decide how we wanted to go. Then they took care of ordering everything and getting it delivered to our house The first class crew came out and over a couple weeks removed all of our old stuff, installed the new windows and doors, and cleaned up beautifully. They were great to have there, very friendly and professional. We would not hesitate to go to this company again, and will.

The job went very well. Joe was responsive and accommodating to our schedule. He uses a sub for smaller jobs like ours, who was punctual, reliable, and professional. And he did a great job! Couldn’t ask for more!

Great. Joe and his team replaced three windows, one sliding glass door, changed a sliding glass door to window, replaced front entry door, storm door and service door. In addition, they wrapped the posts and trim around the garage doors and added a railing to the front entry. The job was done in a timely manner and exceeded expectations. I will continue to contact Twin City Home Remodeling for my home improvement needs.

This was a very successful project and I need to make sure to comment on the professional and skilled work of Jack, (of all trades), pun intended. Jack and the entire Twin Cities Home Remodeling team worked to make this project a success. The work was professional and completed on-time. The level of detail specifically on the tile work is amazing. I’m not sure I would ever have the patience for this type of work however I can visually appreciate the beauty once everything was completed. Working with the Twin Cities Home Remodeling team, sale to completion was pleasure. It is apparent that the team is a balanced and happy group and this is reflected in individual positive/helpful personalities, talent and regard for understanding the customer. I would share that I found this to be above and beyond my expectations. Jack was a very easy person to have around and I never once felt awkward with him being in the house while I and my pets were present. Everything just flowed so nicely. When the typical project snags came up, as they always do in remodels, Jack and team worked to provide workable solutions that maintained the final project ascetic. I am extremely happy with the end result!

In 2015, I contacted TCHR and began working with Joe Nelson and his team. They listened to my wants and needs for a kitchen and bathroom remodel. I worked with one of their designers to get the ideas made into plans for the project. The designer helped me pick all the hard finishes ie: flooring, cabinetry and countertops. The team kept me posted on timing of various steps throughout the entire process and the communication between the team working at my home and the office staff was excellent. The project started on time and was completed in the 6 weeks timeframe. There was a project manager assigned to my project and he was at my home every day to ensure everything was moving forward and decisions being made along the way. At the end of each day the site was clean-up and ready for the workers the next morning. Since my experience with TCHR was excellent in 2015, I called Joe again when I had hail damage claim in 2017. Due to it being late in the year for 2017 the work was completed in the summer of 2018 - once again Joe's team was awesome to work with and completed the work timely. I look forward to working with TCHR again in the future when I am ready to re-side my home and other outside work to be done.

Joe and all of the Twin City Home Remodeling team are knowledgeable and experienced. They were able to answer all of my questions and give me good advise. It was very important to me that the new window reflect the character, color and quality of the original windows and they do. We had an issue with the manufacturing of the windows but TCHR stood by there work and went above and beyond to make thing right. I would definitely recommend them.
