Mike's Power Wash has served the West Twin Cities Metro area since 1998. We are dedicated to preserving and beautifying a variety of surfaces - from the peak of your roof to the end of your driveway. We specialize in Pressure Washing, Cedar/Asphalt Roof Cleaning and Seal, House wash, Soft Wash, Anti Algae treatments, Deck Clean and Stain, Spring/Fall Gutter Cleaning, Fence Clean & Seal, Roof Snow and Steam Process Ice Dam Removal, and other General pressure washing. I am a pressure washer by trade and I do pressure washing/steaming all year round so I have full time year round experience in my field. His work was excellent, the house looks brand new. I was amazed at how clean he was able to get the gutters and facia, they were stained with mold/mildew. I wasn't home when the work was done but a neighbor commented to me a few days later at how impressed she was by him and how diligently he was working on my house. It showed.

"Thanks for the review. The Cabot oil stain product used for the decks is recommended for decks being sealed for the first time. We have used the product several times and the product works correctly and is beautiful however in this situation the residents felt the decking needed more product and color which was possibly due to the condition of the wood used for the decking by the builder or the environmental conditions, causing the stain to look uneven. There were many knots in the wood and the stain seemed to penetrate more in some areas even though the stain was applied correctly. After communicating with the Cabot technical team and showing them the pictures of the deck, we were advised to lightly apply a second coat and that seemed to even out the color. Unfortunately wood decking with knots in it will look uneven because of the grain and pores of the wood that accept stain differently. As wood weathers and ages, it darkens and the stain will look different on it than new wood being stained the first time. We recommend starting out with a light stain because of the darkening process. Sometimes when people are used to seeing a darker stained deck they may get confused when they see a newer deck with a light stain on it even though the wood is stained and protected. We are glad the second coat helped even out the color in this case and made the deck look a little richer in color. Thanks again."

I found Mike through Angie's List, which was in itself an excellent reason to be a member. My deck was falling apart, and a hail storm had pock marked it so badly I was convinced I would need to tear it down and have a new deck built. And then Mike Power washed it. I was stunned. I didn't think that old deck could get so clean. In every way that matters, Mike was meticulous - and in every way what you hope to find in a professional person. After the deck was clean, Mike stained it, working with paint brushes, and not missing a single area. It had been my experience in the past that this process had been accomplished by dumping stain on a deck and spreading it around with a flat mop. Mike, on the other hand, working methodically and with great artistry, took almost a full day to be certain the stain was spread so evenly and carefully, that I could hardly believe it was the same deck.
It looks brand new. He did SUCH a good job, was reasonably priced, and his work was so good, I cannot imagine why anyone would ever use anyone else to clean and stain their deck. I certainly wouldn't. It doesn't get better than this.
I was so impressed that I called my roofer and strongly recommended Mike's Power Wash to him. Roofers are often asked for recommendations. He was delighted to get mine.
If it could be graded higher than an A, it would be. I believe Mike has more than earned a Super Service award.

We are extremely pleased with Mike's service on our deck. We have had another company do the same thing for several years, but this year they were very hard to contact and didn't return my phone messages for several weeks. I looked on Angie's list and saw Mike's information. I called and he came out the same day for an estimate! Now that's prompt service!! He was very meticulous in the power washing and got off almost all of the old stain which the other people had never even come close. When he was staining, again he took lots of time and it looks fantastic! We couldn't be happier!
In addition, he was friendly, listened to our thoughts and wishes, and was very professional.

Mike did an amazing job. We have had other companies perform the same job in years past and by far, Mike's work is the best. It was fine. He did not follow up after the service to assess what he did. Other than that, he was in and out and we could not even tell he was there. He called right away and had it set up.

We leave an invoice with any concerns that we find in each customers door or call them with a follow up if we can't leave an invoice copy. Sometimes invoices do not always make it into the hands of a homeowner even though one was left for them. We are sorry for any neglect you may have felt. We call all of our gutter customers to see if they are ready for their next cleaning as well as send postcards in the spring. We do appreciate your business and will make sure we record that you would like a follow-up phone call in the future."

Absolutely everything was excellent. In the winter he melted the ice dams, and the house and deck were done exceptionally well. The only reason I gave a B in quality was because I would have liked him to do a second coat on the deck. In fairness, however, I didn't share that with him, and I realized the weather had become too cold to effectively use the product. The next time I will share that more quickly.
