First class job

We used Craftsman Window & Door at the recommendation of a window sales person. I'm a fussy sort, have working and practical knowledge of various elements of the trades, and was nervous about any contractor I might have do work that, had I had the time and specific knowledge, would have rather done myself thereby insuring the work would be done to my perfectionist standards. I met with Jim at our home one time before hiring him, found him to be a friendly, knowledgable fellow, and decided to hire him. I could not have been more pleased with my decision. He had a crew of five or six guys, each one of whom was friendlier and nicer than the last. They were hard workers, skilled at their craft, were great fun to have around, and cleaned up after each work session. When the work was finished I was sorry to see them leave. The whole experience was as good as it could have been.

The estimate was for $25000. It was for deck and window replacement. I have used them before and was happy with their work. So, I contacted them again. In the past, they did windows for me. They did the work, a year ago. The windows cost me $15000. I liked their attention to detail and followup on questions and concerns. I will use them again in the future.

Jim quoted three to four weeks for the creation of the custom windows and I was pleasantly surprise to get a call two and a half weeks later that the windows were in. We scheduled the installation for a few days later. Jim sent three professionals to install the windows and they were done in 6 hours. The guys were polite and efficient and made the work look easy. Now we can open the windows in our bedroom/bathroom for some fresh air. They are beautiful and I think our room is quieter than before.

Jim was easy to work with, his estimate didn't "grow" as the work progressed. Everything went according to budget and schedule. His assistant who did most of the work was fast and professional. When they were done, the work area was as clean as when they arrived.
