Work was performed in a timely manner and appeared to be satisfactory. Two months later, every single nail used had rusted all around on the rubber molding and created rust stains all along the cement on the garage door floors. When called out to examine the situation, employee (Steve) agreed it was bad and should not have happened. Steve would have begun to replace immediately, but was missing a tool and I did not have time to wait that day. He sprayed something on the rusty floor in an attempt to clean. Then he said he would be back the next day between 11 and 1:00. When I called their office at 1:00 the next day after he was a no show, Steve answered, and apparently had no intention of coming out or doing the replacement work. Said he had "forgotten" to call me. Next I spoke with John, the owner of company, who was rude and had all sorts of excuses. Clearly they used inferior nails or the wrong kind of nails. I maintained that my receipt says all parts are warranted for 24 months and that NONE of the 20 year old nails had been rusty, nor were there any rust stains on our floors previously. He has refused to do the right thing and correct the work or stand behind his own warranty promise. At this point, along with this report, I have reported them to the BBB

"In response to the complaint made by this member stating the nails we replaced on their garage door on October 4, 2010 rusted and caused stains on their cement garage floor. We would like to present our side of this case. Snow, ice and rain causes an on-going problem in Minnesota. We have had 96" of snow thus far this winter and still counting; add to that the thousands of tons of salt put on the streets each year to create safer driving and we have a think slush for the under carriage of our cars to pick up and track into our garages. Ultimately this melts and drains under the doors, where the nails are located that hold the rubber molding to the bottom of the doors. The repair of the member's garage door was the 41,563rd job A-Action was performed. This is the first complaint we have ever received from a customer for rusting nails. Most people in Minnesota expect this. We take all of our customer's complaints seriously, but we feel this complaint is unjustified. We use a standard galvanized roofing nail that can be purchased from any hardware store or home improvement center. We do not feel we can warranty work for something we have no control over, especially when it has never been an issue in the past. Although we know we do not use inferior nails, and are not at fault in what happened to this member's door, we will offer the following to achieve resolution and protect what has been a 31 year record of customer satisfaction: If the member will the nails, we will reimburse her for the nails and installed them on her door at no charge. That will be the final job. There will be no warranty of that work for rusting nails."

Our experience with A-Action was EXCELLENT! They came out on a late Friday afternoon when other providers would not come until Saturday. John fixed our door and left at 7:30 on Friday night! Very satisfied customers!!

The cables on our garage door had broken. A-Action sent out a representative within 3 hours to replace the cables. In doing so, he also noticed that our garage door opener had been damaged (bent) when we tried to open/close the door without the cables. He worked to repair and straighten the garage door opener, but couldn't. He then came back to our house the next day to install a new garage door opener, and gave us a discount on the original service call. I was very pleased with A-Action's thoroughness and speed in completing this job. Also, I believe we have a much higher quality garage door opener as a result.

CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE AFTER 8PM. - THEY CALLED ME AT WORK THE NEXT DAY BY 8AM. WHEN I RETURNED HOME, THE DOOR WAS WORKING AND COST LESS THAN I EXPECTED TO PAY. VERY HAPPY!
