What a nightmare!!
Our one week project took 10 weeks (1st payment June 4th and final payment September 20th) before the project was completed. The agreement was that we would pay half down to start and the remaining  at the end of the job.  Dave hounded us for money throughout the project, stating he could not get the product to finish the project because he didn't have any money if we did not give him more.  On three occasions we placed a stop payment on the check because we saw his work and it was a disaster.  Twice we
had to reissue the check to Dave rather than Signature Kitchen and Bath.
From the get go it was awful.  Within the first week he brought in a hired man whom he got into an argument with, the hired man came into our home when we were not home and left us a bill (this speaks to the quality of people he employed).  Hopefully Dave has taken care of this.   Many times we were not able to contact Dave and our calls went unreturned.  Dave's hours were erratic and not dependable.  He usually arrive late afternoon to evening and worked into the night.  Many times he made promises only to fail to honor his commitments.  Twice there were huge conflicts and at one point in time he threatened to walk off the job and leave it incomplete.
When we initially hired Dave he assured us that he had the skills to do the complete remodel - NOT!
Dave's ideas with the cabinets were good and we liked how the ideas turned out, however his work was sloppy and poor.  The backsplash was horrible.  It seemed that Dave had no clue what he was doing.  He used so much motor that it came through and covered the front of the tiles.  He had to scrape it off scratching and breaking some of the tiles.  There are several places where there is so much motor in the space that there is no room for grout and looks poor.  The end product was accepted only because we were tired of struggling with him and wanted it to be done.
On the laminate counter tops there are scratches and on one place a 21/2 inch tear that was only glued down (we didn't notice until after we paid for it).  The sheet rock sagged and had bulges after texturing and Dave was going to leave it but we insisted it be
fixed.  It was poorly repaired but again we were tired of arguing with him.  The cabinets are nice but he did sloppy work.  Three doors had to be sanded and re-stained (I pointed it out to him, he was going to leave it) because it looked like finger marks or spilled stain,
bad router cuts on the inside that he promised to repair and never did, doors/hardware were left crooked even though I pointed it out to him many times, and the inside corners had putty and looked terrible (I told Dave, he said he knew that because his wife was trying to help him, but made no effort to fix them).  There are scratches on our cabinets and small places that don't have stain on them (we asked Dave for stain to fix ourselves).  None of the nail holes were filled in on our trim.
Dave left HUGE messes and RARELY cleaned up after himself.  There was motor, sawdust, nails, dirt etc left day after day for us to clean up.  He used our dishcloths and towels for rags and ruined several of them.
Throughout the project Dave either did not write things down or would lose the paper.  We had to discuss with him what we wanted over and over.  Every time he was here or we were trying to get him here to complete the project he had excuse after excuse which became real old.  Without our permission he went through our tools in the garage and used them, ruining some of our bits and not
replacing them.   At times he was rude (slammed the door in my face because I was pressuring him to finish the project in week 9 of our 1 week project).  We had to ask over and over to get things repaired and finally I would leave sticky notes pointing out the issues but there were so many that some things were missed.
Once he left we were so relieved.  We both agreed that we would NEVER use him again because the negatives FAR outweighed the positives (good ideas for cabinets) of the final project.  We found him of Angie's List, he had A ratings, and I really am confused by these ratings compared to our experience.  I would not recommend him to anyone.

This whole job was a nightmare...except the quality of the finished product ended up to be very good. We gave him a signed contract and significant down payment June 16th with the agreement that when we closed on the home July 31st he would be ready to begin installation. He forecast 4-5 total work time. As the move-in date got closer I contacted him and it was obvious he hadn't even thought about the job. He started asking questions that we had covered. He had written all these things down that he was asking again. We were worried at that point. Bottom line: the job took more than two months (not 5 days); there were mistakes after mistakes after mistakes. For example, he installed countertop edge treatment. Also he had to ask three times what countertop color we wanted. We would hear every excuse known to man about why he could't get the job done...then promises which were many times not kept.  The work hours were erratic - mostly late evening into the wee hours. Careless workers - damaging our new sink, electric appliances, sloppy, dirty, ridiculous.
The only thing positive - which I told Dave when the job was finally finished - is that his woodworking ability is very good. His attention to detail is terrible (crooked doors, different levels, etc.) so I had to be "quality control" manager for nearly everything. I have spoken to others who have used him and they say the same thing. I would not recommend him because the customer experience is enough to send you over the edge.

Dave really listened to what we wanted, unlike others I had contacted.
He made great suggestions, has an eye for detail.  The end result was
even better than we had hoped for.

Dave was very responsive to my needs and always answered my questions immediately either by email, phone, or text. He got the work done professionally and I am VERY happy with the finished product. My cherry cabinets now look beautiful! He even came in under budget ($700 less than other estimates for the same work) and I was extremely pleased with his ability to get things done so quickly. I would recommend him for any cabinet/kitchen/refacing work. He also completely fixed my worn and damaged kitchen table (water stains, etc), chairs (scratches), and black bench, and they now look brand new! My husband and I are very pleased. You can tell that he cares about the work he does --- it's more than a job to him - it's something he takes pride in.

Overall it was excellent. Dave was very professional and gave me a speedy quote. He stayed in contact with me throughout the whole process and informed me of everything to be done and when it would be finished. Once I accepted his bid he was done in just a couple of days. His work was very good and my wife and I are extremely please with the price, his service, and the high quality work he performed.
