I took my jet ski to them to rebuild the engine. It took forever. Evidently, they had some "management problems". It took more than twice as long to fix as they quoted me. When I called to check on the progress after a few weeks, they did not even know who I was or that they even had my jet ski. Of course, it took another few weeks to get my jet ski back. The next year (summer 2012), it was coding a "maintenance" alarm. I took it back to Moorhead Marine to get it checked out. Again, they did not even look at it for two-three weeks! I understand that summer is their busy time. If you are so busy that you cannot
even look an issue for three weeks, then it may be time to hire more people! The worst part of it was the attitude of the manager. Every time I called, it was as if I was inconveniencing them. They do not have the slightest care if they tie up a person's recreational equipment for a month or two. This is sad considering we can only use them 4 months of the year. Karma reared its ugly head, though. My girlfriend informed me two weeks ago that she is buying a new pontoon, and she stopped by Moorhead Marine to look at what they had. Upon telling me that she found one there that she was very interested in, I persuaded her to buy from another dealer, citing Moorhead Marines horrible customer service. I do not know the exact amount of profit they make off a $20,000+ pontoon, but I will bet they just lost thousands of dollars.
