I'll update again when the work is done, but everything up until now (just signed the contract) has been great. Our sales rep, Jim, was more knowledgeable about the whole scope of the project than anybody else we had out to bid. He is obviously a carpenter, and he says everybody on their team of installers is as well. Most of the windows are casement, there is one bay window, and a 2-story single pane of glass ($6,000 on it's own). The whole project was bid at $30,114.00, and I'll update when the final price comes in. They will install Marvin Integrity windows which seem like great windows. They were the lowest bid and the highest quality windows, and seem to be better craftsmen. No-brainer.

First, I did not comment above on the price or quality of the windows because I really  don't know enough about window to have an opinion. The windows are Marvin brand windows which I recognize as a "brand" name with, as far as I have ever heard,  a good reputation. The pricing was approved by the insurance company so that was good enough for me. The main reason I went with Window Replacement Company was that I was comfortable dealing with Peter Hill, the owner/president.
Overall, the whole process was pretty uneventful. I asked Peter all the questions I could think of, he was very patient and answered all my questions. Peter and his crew arrived at the time agreed upon and everything proceeded smoothly. The crew seemed well organized, skillful and worked steadily through the day. When they were finished they cleaned up after themselves and left. I am very satisfied with everything connected with the job.

Jim provided excellent recommendations on what windows to use.
We had them pre-stain the new frames.
The installation team did the majority of the work over two days. The screen for the sliding glass door took a few extra days as the part was not shipped.
Team cleaned up nicely after themselves, took care of all of the haul-away, recaulked the new windows, etc.

Excellent. Guys did it fast. Kept worksite real clean. Couldn't tell they were in the house. The replacements and trim was better than the original builder. Lots of personal touches including caulk that was matched, paint touch ups and a final cleaning of the windows inside and out!

We had 20 windows replaced with Marvin Integrity all-Ultrex windows (casement, picture and awning windows).  Service was professional from beginning to end.  We had several other estimates, including Anderson, and TWRC came in right in the middle for price.  We have a stucco exterior and were concerned about how the replacement process would affect the stucco as it came up tight to the existing windows without any molding.  Home Depot wouldn't touch us because of that.  Jim Nelson did a great job of explaining the removal and installation process which set us at ease.  Because we weren't planning on saving the existing windows, the removal process of 'collapsing' the windows to remove them left the exterior opening untouched and undamaged.  Several sills were in various states of rot and the work crew, led by Doug Hubbard, did a fantastic and quick job of repairing the framing.  Because we had a lot of windows to replace and the January weather didn't want to cooperate, the installation was spread over several weeks, but each day the crew left, everything was cleaned up, vacuumed and put away.  Rug runners and plastic were put up each visit to protect the floors and keep dust off the furnishings.  Our all-Ultrex windows were fitted with wood jamb extensions, including maple casings.  Doug did an incredible job of finishing each window perfectly.  He gave me great advise on how to do the staining and sealing of the wood and even left a jar of nail hole putty for me to use and a still good saw blade (maybe the donuts I provided the crew helped with that)!  I can't say enough about the integrity of Doug and his crew.  I did not have to worry that the job wasn't going to be done right.  Since the windows were installed during our harsh winter, there's some exterior caulking to be completed when the snow melts, but all I need to do is give them a call and it will get done.  We are so glad we went with TWRC and will have them back over the next several years to replace the rest of our windows.  Thanks Jim and Doug and the rest of the crew.

We have used The Window Replacement Company for all of our doors, and most of our windows over the years - three sliding doors, front door, bathroom window, and most recently five picture windows in the family room.   They are very good, reasonably priced, and can install most manufacturers (we are partial to Marvin Windows).  Peter gives his recommendations for windows, is a good listener, measures only once, and everything fits and looks beautiful.   The installers are professional, seasoned, and precise.  They clean up after themselves, and make sure you are happy before leaving.

There are more windows we'll need to replace, and we?ll call The Window Replacement Company when we continue.

It went very well overall. Pete Hill came to my home and gave me the initial bid (we got three,) and we selected WRC after comparing bids. We paid the deposit and agreed on an approximate install date. When the windows (they had to be fabricated) came in we scheduled an installation date and time and WRC came exactly on time. The windows were the maximum size Marvin made and three men came (they were very heavy) and put down dropcloths. Throughout the day they were very orderly and at the end they cleaned up the jobsite beautifully. The install went like clockwork and they obviously knew what they were doing. When they left I paid the balance owed and was completely satisfied.
My painter came the next day to stain the windows to match the existing woodwork and touch up the exterior. He noted that the windows were beautifully installed and trimmed out inside and out, but that the caulk on the top of the windows outside was not done well (there were gaps in it which could have allowed moisture intrusion.) He corrected it and touched it up. This was the only issue I had with the window installation, and I called Pete who immediately offered to have someone come over and fix it. I told him my painter took care of it, but asked him to mention it to his crew as attention to detail is of great importance in keeping moisture out of homes. He absolutely agreed; dealing with Pete and the others at WRC was always a pleasure, and despite the small caulking issue, I recommend The Window Replacement Company and will use their services again.

Friendly estimate.  The workers who replaced the window were nice and did a good job as well.  Since they made our window smaller and we have asbestos shingle siding which is difficult to find, they found a solution that worked just fine.

Working with Peter Hill was great. His bid was not the cheapest but there were no surpirse costs later on. He was also open to dividing the job into two parts and was patient when it took us over a year to get to the second part. During the whole process there were a few delays with window delivery and install. Peter kept us informed or came and helped with the work.  His installer Doug Hubbard did excellent work, kept the job site clean and was great with my kids. I even hired him to do some addition work for me. Working with Peter and Doug was probably the easiest I have ever had.

My experience with The Window Replacement Company was great from start to finish.  Peter was prompt, from responding to my very first phone inquiry through my email follow-ups with questions about the products/quotes through checking in on the separate (due to manufacturing) installations of our window inserts and patio doors. Of the several quotes I received for this project - all of which fell within $500 of each other - Peter was the only contractor who managed to provide me exactly what I asked for.  Installation by Peter's team was extremely efficient and not disruptive to our daily life.  Really good experience from start to finish.

I got bids from two  companies  which install Marvin windows with great Angie ratings and chose this one  because  the owner, Peter Hill,  came up with a very cost effective solution using a single double window unit with frame to replace two existing windows and because his prices were somewhat better than the other company.   Peter  was very professional and easy to work with.  His stainer was able to match the existing stain color almost exactly.  The installer, Doug, was very careful and pleasant and did a good job..

Peter does not use a contract and we did not have any agreement about what would happen if rot was discovered when the old frame was removed and remedial woodwork was necessary.  .  Not surprisingly, we found some degredation and rot in the underlying wood when the old frame was removed.  The installer and I cooperated in fixing it.  He ate lunch while I ran out to buy Minwax wood hardener which I dumped on the rotted area and then patched with plastic wood.  He replaced a piece of wood with a section of two by four which I provided to him.   There was no extra charge for his work.  I was very pleased at how this worked out.

I would have rated the overall quality of the work as an A rather than a B except that Peter made a mistake measuring the window insert so that the window insert which he ordered did not fit.  This necessitated ordering a new window and caused  a one month delay in finishing the project.

Got bids from 3 vendors and Window Replacement Company (WRC) was middle in terms of cost, but definitely most responsive and best fit for us. WRC recommended and demo'd various products and were very patient as we did research and sorted thru options. Once plans and contract finalized, they arranged for delivery of windows, arrived at scheduled time and date to install and finished in less than 2 days (as they had projected).  They cleaned up after themselves pretty well and we love the windows (so far -- only in place for 3 weeks.)  Only remaining work is touch up caulk and getting inspection required by city -- both arranged for next 10 days.  WRC even agreed to come back later and install trim on two windows that we asked them to not trim now as we are planning panelling removal and sheetrock installation.

Peter was great throughout the whole process, from estimating it to construction. We do not do alot of home remodeling and he was very patient throughout the process. We had a different trim in mind initially and contacted Peter and his group. He took down our thoughts and then came out and put in a different trim that matched the rest of the house. It worked out fantastic. We will be doing a few more windows in our house and we will absolutely be going back to these guys. Great to work with.

Pete the owner of The Window Replacement Company was very punctual and always was professional.  We got all new windows and front door for our 1965 built home.  The workers were quick and never left a mess.  I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to get windows on a budget.

He is professional, shows up when he says that he will come. His work is detailed. He and his sub-contractors are very neat leaving the house as clean as it was when they started. Peter willingly and promptly came back to resolve a few minor issues each time.

He was really remarkable. I had a very challenging job for him. He was professional and had a great presentation. He brought a quote. He had to bring in additional craftsman to build what I needed and they were wonderful. I have recommended him to other people. He literally added square feet to the room. The window seat has wonderful storage. It is a beautiful piece of furniture and the results are remarkable.

The entire process was excellent as it met my cost, timeline and vendor expertise and efficiency. The measurements were exact, the removal and installation process was done neatly and in less time than I had expected. It took only 3 days to get the job done. The installers were considerate of my home ( I work out of my house) and very neat. The installers paid a great deal of attention to detail. The moldings were put back in the exact positions that they were in prior to installation. The entire Window Replacement Co team was responsive and responsible. I have a potentially larger job coming up and I have absolutely no desire to use anyone else other than The WIndow Replacement Co. My entire family loves the look of our new windows!

The job lasted three days as estimated. The crew showed up early in the morning as agreed upon and except for a lunch break worked until their day was finished. They made the tear out and installation of over a dozen new windows, some rather large ones, an almost pleasurable experience considering the condition of the windows they were replacing. The crew(3) did keep the house and area clean and picked-up during the day's work and everything - scrap, nails etc.- was dispose of properly when they left for the day. After the windows were installed and trimmed out, the painters (3) came in and filled nail holes and painted the trim. It was an added bonus in our case that none of the company's employees had no problem with our rather formidable dogs.

I had about 4-5 quotes including the big box stores. These guys weren't the least expensive but they weren't the most expensive either. They won the job because they cared to win the job. I was given suggestions, options and ideas. My concerns were all taken seriously and handled with care. We opted for Lindsay windows. Be careful when you get quotes. Make sure you're comparing apples to apples, Lindsay makes various grades of window and that can be a little game. I was very happy with the job. Expect to have these windows for a long long time.

I have contracted a lot of things and have done some of my own things. This was probably the best experience that we have had. We did five bids. They were the most professional, knowledgeable and organized. You felt right from the start that you were going to get the best quality done on time with the best materials taking no shortcuts.
