Description of Work: Steve remodeled our master bedroom and bath. The work was done within the time frame he stated in his bid and he kept us informed about who was going to be working at the house and when.

 + -1 moreRequested estimate. The gentleman declined to give one because it was for a CDBG loan. He said he had dealt with these in the past and had not had the best experience with these. I can understand his tentativeness, but not having experience with this type of loan, I felt like he could have explained it in more detail.

 + -1 moreIt was a perfect experience. We bid three companies. The other two were both handymen. While the handymen submitted lower bids, it would have required more work from us to use them. For example, one handyman wanted us to get the work permits ourselves; the other wanted us to buy the materials and have them on-site for him. Haugdahl's did everything for us---got the permits, the building materials, arranged for the inspectors' visits, arranged for the painter and the electrician, and so on. The gentleman who did the work was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very concerned about getting all the details right, such as where the closet door should go, what sort of trim to use. And he was always very punctual. Working with him, I felt like he was an executive with a hammer. The workmanship was superb.
Description of Work: Built a walk-in closet in our sons' bedroom.

 + 0 moreThey were customer service oriented and were very responsive. They gave us a good solid estimate and stuck with it. There were no surprises. Everything that we discussed ended up on the contract and everything on the contract got done.
Description of Work: They tore out an old kitchen for us. They also moved a wall.
