Mike never did the fall cleanup we contracted him to do. He had a million excuses. He never staked out our driveway for plowing, which he promised at least six times he would do. After each snowfall he was at a minimum 15 hours after the last flake. Each time he showed up, it was after multiple requests and inquiries as to when/whether he'd be there. When pressed he said he was having plow, truck, or health "issues." I don't know if he would have showed up if we hadn't kept texting him. I finally had to fire him when he didn't show up after the 6" snowfall that ended at Midnight on 2/25. I asked him to clear the driveway before 10:30 because we were having people over. He didn't respond. By 1 PM I had cleared it myself and he still hadn't responded. I texted that I was canceling his contract, and he still didn't respond.

The first week, it was fine. Different "help" came with the owner each time. Communicate with help was poor. When I contacted him for a complaint several times, he said, "It was the staff's fault." When he/they ran over a rain gutter instead of picking it up, he said he would replace it and didn't after 3 reminders. Several weeks he didn't show up. One time grass measured 8".

Lots of excuses why he couldn't perform the work, each day a different and lame excuse.

The cliff notes version is my lawn cleanup was not fully performed until March 2017, approximately five months after my initial purchase and after the winter season. Due to what I assume is an overbooked schedule and weather issues, my cleaning was continually rescheduled and canceled at the last minute. I ended up having to contact Extreme Lawns proactively roughly 6-8 times as their communication and notification was extremely poor. Extreme Lawns was only able to clean up the front of my lawn as of November 2016. As a result of the delay I was promised free thatching which would help aerate my lawn during the spring, to which I agreed as a method of additional compensation. My back lawn was cleaned in March of 2017. I was thanked for my patience by one of employees performing the cleaning and was addressed with a 'fist bump' instead of a handshake which I found extremely unprofessional. Reviewing their work, they did do a good job cleaning up the leaves in both the lawn and my surrounding bedrock trim, I noticed loose rocks all over my lawn from the resulting cleaning which makes mowing rather challenging. It gave off the perception to me Extreme Lawns cared more about getting the work done quickly versus getting the work done right. To date I have not been contacted to schedule my supposed free thatching, however based on the observations above and poor quality of service I do not want Extreme Lawns providing service at my home again so it is a moot point. I do not recommend as a provider for leaf cleaning.

Michael and his team did a great job for us in 2016 and we've contracted again with them in 2017. Last year was a challenging year with long period of drought and heavy rain. Extreme Lawns was very flexible working around that to our preference. Any time something got weird we'd just let them know with a quick phone call or email what we want to do and they took care of it. At one point last year we had 10 days of rain and hot weather; the freshly fertilized lawn grew ridiculously fast. After we gave them permission to run the equipment on the over soaked lawn they came out and actually cut it in driving rain taking extra care to not damage the lawn. Turn out good and the lawn always looks nice.

After I bought the service, it snowed and Extreme Lawns wasn't able to pick up the leaves. While the weather was out of their control, they agreed to come right away in the Spring (April) when the snow melted to do the job. Not only did they remove all the leaves and remove debris from the winter, they also dethatched the lawn and did a mow even though I didn't pay for that. I appreciated their flexibility and professionalism during the process!

I like doing the lawn myself but I've had to travel for work making it very difficult to keep up with yard work. The lawn was kept very nice, they came once a week. Sometimes the days would alter depending on weather but they trimmed edges and blew clean the sidewalk and driveway when they were done. The weed trimming was great. They were careful with the plants in certain areas we pointed out. The leaf collection started last fall but when snow came, the second round was delayed until this spring. Mike showed up a few weeks ago and completed the job. The grass is already perking up with all the rain we have. I've signed a contract for 2017 based on well 2016 went.

It was good.  They were here sometime last Fall 2016.  He tried charging like double.  I think we agreed on another $100 because my yard was bigger than whatever it was in the deal.  He had a broken thing and he showed up late.  The work that they did was good.  It was more the professionalism of the owner but the workers were really good.  There were three or four workers that came to complete the work.  I think they could improve on their professionalism.  It's not my problem that you have a lot of work.  He came and complained to me how he had all this work and so he couldn't get it all done, people were getting upset because it was snowing.

"Thank you for your purchase. I'm happy we were able to complete the work to your satisfaction and you were happy with your clean up. I apologize if you felt my explaining the reason for the delay in service was complaining, it was never our intention. Mother Nature was difficult last season. Hope you have a great summer."

The work started out strong, he did a good job with the spring clean up. But it went downhill from there fast. He started showing up on different days. Everytime he called he said I was scheduled for a different day. Then it got extended to a couple weeks in between mowings to 2-3 weeks between mowings. I did the BIG DEAL like everyone else and quickly learned that the money was already in his pocket so he didn't really care about me as much as he probably cared about his weekly payors. He had the audacity to show off his new lawn mowers to me that he bought from the state fair after he had been gone for 2 weeks. I was just thinking that that was my money I fronted him that paid for those new mowers. He had excuse after excuse, first it was all the rain, which I understand if you can't show up the day it rains, I would expect you show up the following day. Then it was he didn't have enough workers, didn't have reliable workers, his company was growing too fast... so many excuses. The fall cleanup was the worst disaster. It didn't get done until mid-december, after we already had a big snow fall. He kept telling me he was going to get to it and that he was overwhelmed with the work. What I don't understand is why he was still asking for more business if he was so overwhelmed over the Summer. He tried to explain to me that he can't control it because of a deal he signed with Angies List, which I know isn't true, he just wanted to pocket more money. The only saving grace he had was his wife called to take over operations apparently to get his butt in gear. Otherwise, this was a big SCAM. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for, so shame on me. Don't make my mistake and go a different direction.

Let me start by saying that if you purchase a deal or paid in advance with Extreme Lawn it does not mean that they will finish the job. Its more of a I will get to it if I can. Towards the end though the job was well done, however approach was not. Never showed up when promised, when i reached out to find out what was going on there was no clarity of when and if they will do the job. That put me in a very tough place because its almost impossible to find a contractor in the last minute just couple of days before big snow to come and clean up the yard. So from reliability perspective I would give them F.

"Thank for your purchase. Unfortunately for the first time we sold fall clean up packages that did not have an hour restriction. Purchases were made site on seen and took much longer than expected. Due to this we were not able to stay on schedule. I apologize for any inconvenience, but are happy to hear you were happy with the work product. Have a great summer!"

We started the service late so missed the official spring cleanup. They said they would do extra mowing during the summer to make up for it. After the first month, the weekly service became sporadic. My husband asked what day to expect them so we could make sure any dog excrement was picked up. The scheduled Saturday became Tuesday, Wednesday.... A couple of times we had to call to ask them to come out. We live in a neighborhood where lawns are mowed weekly so it was obvious that ours was not. When my husband commented to them that it had been over two weeks since the prior lawn mowing, they said they had been there every week. After disagreeing with them, they said that someone had been sick so they were behind. They also said that when weather was bad, they had to postpone mowing. The lawn was not mowed often enough to mulch it. Several times when they came out, they mulched and left huge bunches of mowed grass. In mid-August, when my husband commented again about the sporadic mowing, he was told that every time they came out, their blade broke on their mower while mowing the backyard and what were we going to do about it. After that confrontation, they returned twice to mow our lawn. In early November, I tried to call them to find out about the fall cleanup for our yard. Their voice mail was full so I was unable to leave a message. I emailed my question about fall cleanup. The emailed response was that they planned to do cleanup the following week. Mid-November I received a call to say that they would not be able to get to our yard. They were most apologetic and offered to do 2017 spring cleanup and the additional option of a month of lawn mowing or 2107 fall aeration. We have not yet selected the option as we are hesitant to believe that they will actually be out for spring clean up. We were frustrated because we had prepaid for this service and felt like there was nothing we could do short of hiring another service. Additionally, their trimmers cut the bottom edge of one of my tall evergreen trees. I did not contact them regarding this.

Early: It went okay for the one Sring Cleanup day involved. We will try them for summer lawn service and see how it goes. That's a better judge of services over several weeks rather than just the single day experience. End of summer: We hired them for the summer. Owner did not take responsibility for problems with his work when he blamed his workers. Services were not provided weekly as described in contract. Other lawn service providers near us provided 2+ times more visits over the same period.

Worst service provider i have ever experienced. He showed up to my house 9 times. Never once did he come without me constantly hounding him and he cut the lawn and trimmed the curbs and walkways during those visits. He never pruned a single shrub, never cleaned a plant bed or natural area and never showed up to do the fall leaf removal. Would never recommend him to anyone.

I have been contracting with Extreme Lawns for the past 5-6 years for most all of our Lawn Care items and Snow Removal needs. I am the Director of Services for a multi housing and commercial management company. We manage properties from executive single family homes to apartment complexes to multi acre commercial properties. Extreme Lawns has always gone above and beyond for me and our properties. Michael has shown up on short notice when I have needed him for clean ups or touch ups before "owners" tour properties. I feel that I have received great value and very good service from Extreme Lawns. I will continue to use Extreme lawns in the future for the  many different needs that we have.

Mike provided two months of lawn mowing during the time we were prepping our home for sale. Even with the heavy rains we had he got the job done in a timely manner. His work improved the appearance of the yard and was helpful in the sale.

They do extremely good work. I can count on them to leave our entire lot looking like a golf course. Over the years I have asked the owner, Mike, to help me with several special landscaping services. He never refuses and does the work himself or finds someone who can. We wouldn't trust anyone else. I highly recommend his company!
