Billy, the man who did the work, was courteous and his work resulted in a more satisfactory texture and color. There are still speckles of the old surface color, however. He offered to come back but by that time we were not sure if we were to be billed. We had asked for an estimate for this work and were not given one so we thought the company was working on a product which had not performed as we were told it would when we made the decision to buy it.
Description of Work: Our bay window, copper roof was stripped of a coating which had left it an ugly brown color for 20 years and prevented the blue/green patina that we had purchased the roof for from forming. A chemical which I had purchased was then applied to get the color we had been expecting.

The copper roof was installed 20 years ago. Left alone copper will turn brown over time and depending on conditions eventually turn patina. We have no idea or control of what was applied or done to the copper roof in two decades. The owner himself states he applied chemicals to the copper to age it. We have worked with copper for 35 years and changing colors to browns, blacks, patinas is a difficult process. Not just adding a chemical. When called by the owner we sent a technician out and he was asked to make it patina. We prepped, cleaned off old material and started patina process. We were told it looked good and we billed the owner for our time. There is no way we would not bill for the completed work. We have been in this business a long time and we warranty all of our installs within reason.
