Nicola's crew were very hard workers. The guys showed up on time, they were very courteous and professional, they asked questions when they weren't sure how I would want something and provided great advice and problem-solving with my phone lines and the area by my stairs. They were also very accommodating with my dogs, which I appreciated so they didn't have to be kenneled for two days straight. And all of this is before mentioning the beautiful end result. I'm really, really happy with how the project turned out.
"Dear [member name removed] This letter is to inform you that we have received your request in regard to the floor installation that Your Way Flooring (YWF) installed in your home on April 21st 2014. When we were hired by you to do the installation, we had a conversation about your subfloor and the work that would need to be done in order for us to install your hardwood as a floating floor. Our lead installer and owner discussed with you that your subfloor would need to be replaced because installing over your existing subfloor would cause some flaws and it may not create the desired result for your home. It was discussed with [member name removed] that the extra work would need to be done to ensure that the floor would be installed properly. After a lengthy discussion with [member name removed], it was understood that [member name removed] would NOT like to go down to the joust because of the work that was involved and the extra amount of time, labor, and money it would cost to do the job. Options as to how to deal with the situation were discussed and it was [member name removed] that made the final decision that Your Way Flooring would install the wood floor as a floating floor using shims on the subfloor where there may be some uneven areas. A limited amount subfloor preparation was done to allow for the floor to be installed and it was done in 4 days. After completing the job, we realized that this method only worked in some areas and not others. It was understood that Your Way Flooring would do its best to fix the problem for only the cost of the materials and that was attempted. YWF understands that [member name removed] was not pleased with the outcome and has agreed to pay for only the labor and material to replace the flooring in back bedroom and the wood in living room needed to replace the area mentioned in W.O.W Floors Inc. estimate. With that being said, we would like to inform you that in NO way is YWF responsible for any work that was done to the stairs which we were not hired to do and received no payment for. We do agree that we suggested a contractor (John Lynch) to do the job and his work was less than satisfactory. YWF was never in any conversations with [member name removed] about what he was going to do, except for the understanding that he was to strip and re-stain the stairs. It is YWF’s understanding that a conversation occurred between [member name removed] and John about moldings and replacement of stairs, the riser, and stain. We ONLY received payment for the installation that was done on the floors in the house and not the stairs leading into it. YWF has no legal responsibility to any other work that has been done by any other contractor that has or will be working with [member name removed]. [member name removed], we were extremely accommodating to you and went over and above what most companies would have done to reach out to John Lynch to finish his work. We only did that because we believe very strongly in customer service. Never--in the 4 years that we have been in business--has something like this happened. Nicola has 15 years of experience and he comes highly recommended by many people. We have a long list of satisfied customers and the quality of work that we have done has been documented. Kind Regards, Kimberly Caprini/Co-Owner Your Way Flooring, LLC"
