The project was a disaster. When they were putting up the last piece of sheetrock they punctured a pipe and water was gushing down the stairs. It took them a long time to find the shut off valve for the water so it was quite a mess. There was some damage from the water- carpet on the stairs was ruined, water was dripping down inside the wall all the way to the basement, and the paint was bubbling on the other side of the wall. The sheetrock they had spent the day installing was also ruined and had to be removed. I was surprised that Wonderwoman herself didn’t call or come out to see the damage. All we got was a text from the project manager saying “don’t worry we’ll take care of it.” We showed the PM the damage and she said they would take care of everything. Because the walls had to dry out before they could proceed the project got behind, which wasn’t that big a deal, but the PM thought it was a good idea to prep several days in advance for the mudder and loosely taped paper on the stairs (and it turned out the mudder tossed the paper anyway). A couple days later, I tripped on the paper and fell down the stairs. I texted the PM and she said she was sorry. These seemed like extraordinary circumstances and I was surprised that Wonderwoman did not contact me to make sure I didn’t have any concerns. As the project drew to a close, the PM was hounding me about the final balance before the work was completed because she was going out of town. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and paid before all the work was done, which I regretted. The next day I contacted Wonderwoman to say I didn’t feel comfortable paying the balance when there was unfinished work. I included a detailed list of the items that needed to be finished along with pictures. I also said I was surprised that we were not compensated in any way for the damage done as a result of their mistake. Her reply was that they lost money on the job - as if they were doing me a favor by not charging me for the burst pipe, clean up, repairs, and work that had to be redone. In the end I was able to wrangle a 5% refund. But the work was never completed and what was done was not to my satisfaction. They removed molding to do the wall repairs and lost a couple pieces. At first they didn’t replace all of the trim, then when I pointed it out they just slapped on some random pieces of trim that don’t match. They never finished cleaning the mess in the basement. The paint job was poor. There are a number of places that need another coat as it was not completely covered and there are splatters all over the stairs. The mudder’s work was great, but the rest of the work was not the quality I expected. I will not hire Wonderwoman again, nor will I recommend her to anyone.

It was a good experience. It was a very good service and a very good price. They have very competitive prices. They were on time and the job was well done.

I hired Wonderwoman Construction to install two exterior doors after having an awful time with another contractor (who ordered doors in the wrong size and color!). Wonderwoman literally came to the rescue. They were responsive, fit this job into their busy schedule, and picked up my new doors for me. The best part, however, was the installation. It took two days for both doors, but the precision and attention to detail just blew me away. They addressed issues, like a missing floor board, that were not strictly part of the job but they clearly wanted my entry way to look perfect. And it does! They were true to the bid and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend them. I can't wait to hire them again.

The work was high quality. The company was initially very responsive to my inquiry about capacity and price. However, the day someone was scheduled to come do the work, no one showed up. I did get a response to email and rescheduled for the next day, but had to take additional time off of work the next day.

It started out very well but I felt it was misleading. I asked when she came to do the estimate if she was the one who did the work, she said yes. It was subcontractors who actually did the work. Every little thing was an additional charge, even very minor things.

"thanks for response [Member Name]. You bring up a really good issue. Siimply, we cannot do some aspects of the project, including the plumbing & electrical. We would loose our license. We do have our own crew that does all the other aspects of a job that are within our scope. The misunderstanding may come from that there are unlicensed individuals, or handymen doing misc items that they really are not supposed to be doing. That includes setting a toilet, hanging a light, etc."

We came home from work in the evening to discover a door to our home had been broken into and kicked off its hinges, and we needed an emergency fix for the night. They sent someone to our house within an hour to put the door back in and secure it for the night until we had time to make other arrangements. The person who did the work was polite and helpful. We had a very positive experience and would use this provider again for other projects.

This included installing a new floor, new ceiling tile with spotlights. Also, when we demo'ed the basement we found a 50-year plus covered-up window well window The window well outside had also been covered up. Wonderwoman removed the brick covering the window space, installed new block windows, and dug up and repaired the outside window well.

It was very good. It was a really tricky repair because it is an old house and it was not a standard door size. They were very creative about how they approach it and they just did a really nice job. I highly recommend them if you have an older house.

Not only was Lori professional, prompt and communicative--things I'd expect from anyone working with customers--she also went above and beyond, communicating with another family member because I wasn't in town and she showed genuine concern for my dilemma. She was willing to work with me over the phone and also offered to work with the City, if needed, to deal with the neighbor. Overall, her cost estimates were fair and service extremely professional. I have had friends who've worked with Wonderwoman for more specific building projects on their homes who recommended them to me. Wonderwoman will certainly be the first construction professionals I call for my next home project.

it went fabulously from start to finish. the team first discussed the timing with me, first for the fence, then for the gutter. lori and kelly called to collaborate and arrange all the details. the team was there when they said they would be, and their work is impeccable. they checked with me when they had questions, and otherwise just did what they said they would do -- there were no problems whatsoever. the whole group are a pleasure to work with. it is a rare thing these days to find professionals who are genuine, friendly and honest (and fun) people. they care about their clients and want to do the best job they can -- i will definitely work with them again when i have work to be done.

Lori and the Wonderwoman team were great. Lori helped us create a plan that worked within our budget. She recommended good suppliers for flooring, sinks, appliances, etc. She was knowledgeable and flexible.
When the work started, we had daily contact from the project manager to keep us informed. The on-site construction manager kept the work moving and the mess contained. Everyone on the team was friendly and respectful.
In the end the project was finished on schedule (to the day!) and on budget. We are very pleased with the results, the attention to detail, and the overall experience.

The young woman did an amazing job of moving all those boxes and getting them to the right places. She was very strong and carried an old steamer trunk full of pictures like it was a toy. She even came up with a design for storage and made suggestions about organization for my office. Altogether helpful and positive, except for the price of $400 + for 2 1/2 hrs of work, which I thought was over-priced. I was told they have a minimum charge that is required. Although I would have paid $180-200 for this high quality of service.
Response from WONDERWOMAN CONSTRUCTION LLC
"I am confused, Wonderwoman has not done any work since 2010 for the member?? We charged our minimum service amount of $200 at that time, not $400. I am wondering if an old employee did this??"

The owner of the company met with me to measure my yard and find out what sort of fence I was looking for. The property is a very odd shape with varying elevation and lots of trees. Besides the fence I also needed three gates for the various access points. I was sure I wanted a wire mesh fence (not chain link) with wood posts and gates. She took into consideration my design ideas and made suggestions of her own before submitting a bid. The finished product is excellent. It is not only functional but actually enhances the appearance of my property; something I wasn't counting on. She has a very talented carpenter who created a beautiful custom design gate (the one visible from the street) that relates to the architecture of the house. The post caps even coincide with a particular feature of the house. The work was finished on time and there was no debris left.

Everything went very well. We had worked with them before in a previous residence, so we were already comfortable with using them again. After they came over to look at the work that needed to be done, we got an estimate and agreed on a starting date. Work began on the starting date and wrapped up the next day. Every step of the way they checked with me to discuss what they were doing. At the end of each work day, they thoroughly cleaned up their work areas. They were very conscientious and treated my house very well. The finished work is great. I'll certainly work with them again.

I love Wonderwoman Construction! They are very professional but also extremely pleasant and flexible. Lori, the head of the company, came over at the beginning and gave me a set of estimates for the various jobs I was contemplating. Sue, the construction manager, came over to scope out the work in advance, on the day of the work, and afterward (and brought me a great Wonderwoman t-shirt, which I will wear with pride). The people who did the job were fabulous, too!--Josina and a young man whose name I forget (but who was really pleasant and conscientious). I give all of them an A-plus.

Very easy to work with. Lori communicates through email very easily and made the whole process so simple for me to navigate through. She was super flexible with my schedule, told me exactly what they'd be doing, she came the morning that the work was being done. She introduced the worker to me, walked him through the project and then left assuring me the work would be done nicely and to contact her with any problems. We didn't have any problems, the work was awesome and I'm so pleased.

They gave an initial estimate, but let us know that in the course of completing the kind of work we needed, occasionally they discovered more rotted wood than was visible during a walk-around. And they did discover some additional work that needed to be done. However at all times, I felt that the additional work they were proposing was needed to protect the integrity of our house. The increase over the initial bid seemed appropriate to the labor and materials involved in the additional work. The work started promptly after we gave them our deposit. Weather delayed completion, but all the work was done before winter hit. Their staff seemed polite and competent. We felt as if we'd done what needed to be done to protect our house. The free T-shirt that they gave my wife was incredibly ugly. But the expertly accomplished work they did on our house was just what was needed. We would definitely hire them again for additional work on our house.

Lori was confidence-inspiring from the first meeting. She described how the job would go, answered my questions clearly and patiently, and the project moved along exactly as she described it would. Her team comprised people who worked well and were pleasant to have around. When the inevitable unforeseen changes arose, Lori was efficient and prompt at providing solutions.
