Excellent customer service. Jim showed up right away to provide an estimate of the work, scheduled the power-line drop with xcel energy. Then, a storm came through and a tree fell on the power line. They came out the same day and started work. They were courteous and cleaned up very well.

Jim Walsh scheduled an estimate at 10:30,7/11/2006. He rang the doorbell at 10:29 AM.I was more than pleased with his punctuality, as I had a tight schedule that day. He was very personable but business ready. His estimate was a bit higher than others but his rating was also higher. The work was done on Friday, 7/14/2006. The three young men, Seamus, Nick and Connor were diligent workers and very professional. I was very pleased with their work and their cleanup afterward.

The Vineland Group was responsive to my initial phone call and scheduled a estimate within three days. They were on time and helpful with suggestions. Work was done within a few days of acceptance of the bid; the work crew showed up on time, consulted with me when questions arose, were very polite and efficient, and did a good job cleaning up. It was a pleasure to work with this small family business.

Everyone I dealt with was efficient and pleasant. They came out for a free estimate the day after I called them. They had their proof of current insurance faxed to me the same day I requested it. Both people who came out to do the tree trimming welcomed my watching their work, and sought my guidance. They also offered (free) advice regarding the tree's prognosis. Even though my job was small, they took it seriously.

We had been told the tree might have dutch elm disease and that it would have to be removed. Jim was very honest and informative. Although he doesn't do tree removal, he let us know that it might be our best option in this case. He was the only one of four companies that looked at the tree that identified that it had Pit Cankers, and also that he didn't think it actually had dutch elm disease. Thanks in part to Jim, we will be having the tree removed instead of pruned. If we have any tree maintenance needs in the future, Jim will be the first one we call.

The experience was wonderful. They were prompt, courteous, efficient, and did a marvelous job cleaning up after the job was complete. You can actually see my house now! I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the work that was performed, and enjoyed working with Jim. I would highly recommend the group to anyone.

Vineland was competitively priced (I had other bids 75% higher). Jim and his son did the work and finished the removal very quickly. It was a delicate job as the tree was in growing into my neighbors garage roof, but there was no damage to anything other than the tree. They asked for a week to remove the stump, but it was gone the next day. I was impressed by their efficiency, professionalism, and fair price.

Seamus was the person who gave me the estimate and directed the work. His estimate was much lower than the other two quotes I obtained. The work he proposed was identical to the work proposed by a certified arborist of another company. While Vineland does not offer a specific discount to Angie's list members, Seamus explained that Angie's list is an important source of clients so they try to lower their estimates for members. The work was done in an extremely professional manner. When they were done, Seamus showed me their work and asked for feedback on one particular spot where we decided to trim a few more branches.

JIM WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HAD GOOD SUGGESTIONS AND OPTIONS. THE WORK WAS COMPLETED TIMELY AND ALL REFUSE WAS CLEARED.

OWNER JIM WALSH ANSWERED THE PHONE AND COULDN'T HAVE BEEN NICER. HE PROMISED TO COME OUT WITHIN A FEW DAYS. WHEN HE HADN'T COME OR PHONED BY 10 DAYS LATER, I CALLED AGAIN. HE CALLED BACK, VERY APOLOGETIC. TO HIS CREDIT, HE SOON ZIPPED RIGHT OVER. I WASN'T HOME, BUT HE LEFT A VOICEMAIL REPORT, ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT HE HAD LOOKED AT A COMPLETELY WRONG (AND HEALTHY) SHRUB, NOT THE SICK TREE WE HAD TALKED ABOUT. HE RETURNED RIGHT AWAY TO LOOK AT THE RIGHT TREE IN MY PRESENCE. WAS ABLE TO REASSURE ME THAT THE TREE WAS PROBABLY JUST RECOVERING FROM FROST DAMAGE. HE WAS VERY NICE & FRIENDLY AND ASKED IF I HAD ANY OTHER URGENT TREE/SHRUB QUESTIONS. SO I LED HIM TO THE BACKYARD TO LOOK AT MY AILING NANNYBERRY VIBURNUM. I WAS SURPRISED WHEN HE SAID, ''I DON'T KNOW REALLY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT,'' WITH WHAT SEEMED TO BE LITTLE INTEREST. THE NANNYBERRY IS SUCH A COMMON BACKYARD TREE/SHRUB & IS NATIVE TO MINNESOTA, SO I REALLY WAS THROWN BY HIS RESPONSE--NOT ONE THAT INSPIRES GREAT CONFIDENCE.

THEY WERE RESPONSIVE, RETURNED OUR CALLS, SHOWED UP ON TIME. WE HAD A LOWER ESTIMATE THAN THIS ONE, BUT FELT MUCH MORE CONFIDENT IN THEIR BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE.

THE COMPANY OWNER AND SON ARRIVED PROMPTLY AND WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY SAID HOW THEY PLANNED TO DO THE JOB AND SOUGHT MY APPROVAL OF THE PLAN. THEY WORKED FAST AND CLEANED UP NEATLY.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE JOB THEY DID AND HOW WELL THEY COMMUNICATED WITH ME BEFORE AND DURING THE JOB. CLEANUP WAS DONE WELL. WOULD BE HAPPY TO HAVE THEM BACK AGAIN. I DID NOT GET OTHER ESTIMATES, SO AM NOT ABLE TO COMMENT ON HOW THE PRICE COMPARES TO OTHER COMPANIES; WE FELT IT WAS REASONABLE.
