Vineland Tree Care

I received two estimates on this job. Vineland's was about $150 less so I took it. Jim from Vineland called back promptly, figured the estimate immediately, was straightforward about what could and could not be done (there are two steel posts at one of the stumps and he'll only be able to remove that stump partially unless I can remove the posts, or he could make a much higher estimate; I opted for the lower estimate), and was generally easy to talk to. When I called to get the job done, the crew showed up on time and just a couple days later. They were faster than I expected getting the trees down, and they cleaned up completely after themselves. I asked to keep some of the wood and that was stacked neatly in reasonably sized pieces. So far, I'm completely satisfied with Vineland and would recommend them. I will report back after stump removal in a couple months.

We were impressed with Vineland's service immediately. When Jim came out to provide the estimate for our sizable assignment, he took great care to walk through our trees with us and assess the needs for each individual one. He identified trees for us pointing out problems to anticipate and how to remedy them. Although they clearly are the experts in each tree's natural shape and growing habits, they were very careful to let the client speak of their wishes of how the job should be done. I can't say enough good about this team. They were qualified, efficient, kind to work with, their fees were very reasonable, and they all provided good education to me, the tree owner, about trees and tree care. Once the job was done, they made sure I was satisfied with the end result. They took the time to provide a little more clean-up on the over-suckered crabapple. We can see good work has been done while maintaining a natural look in the trees.

Jim and his team were excellent. We got 3 quotes from different companies; we chose Vineland because of their technique (they climb up into the trees without sharp damaging shoes or heavy equipment, which preserved our lawn). They were also very reasonably priced. Jim was very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. He gave several options for each tree, as to how thoroughly they could be pruned and his recommendations for each as well. On pruning day, his team spent most of a day working and it was amazing to watch them swinging in the trees. After pruning one particular tree, Jim showed me evidence of disease and again gave me several options for how to deal with it. When finished, they cleaned up everything, leaving the yard looking better than it started. We will definitely use Vineland again.

Jim was great! He came out and walked our lot with me, I showed him what I really wanted done and he agreed and made some suggestions. He discussed some of the more urgent matters and we decided what we felt was doable on our budget. His price was completely reasonable and very competitive with the other estimates I received. He even removed a root that was starting to strangle one of my trees before I decided to hire him. His knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond made him the perfect choice for us and I would gladly use them again.

Excellent. Work order was well-written and comprehensible, each charge was documented, work was done exactly to specifications. Many options were presented to us so we could have a real discussion about the costs and implications of each option. Courteous, respectful, clean and neat, worked quickly and effectively. Gave us advice on our young tree and on when to do work so that it was best for the vegetation, also instructions on how to follow up (e.g., water the yews after trimming to help them heal).

An unwanted elm grew up in the middle of my lilac bush which I wanted to keep. Jim gave me several options, including one which would let me keep the lilac. After removing the elm, they were very careful in trimming the lilac, and Jim had me come out to look and make sure I was happy with it. He did a great job of keeping an old bush looking balanced, and full enough to maintain the advantage of privacy, but still really cleaned it up. I will most definitely use them in future for other tree/landscape work. Very pleasant experience.

Jim was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional at estimate visit. He took a lot of time with me to explain my options. We were very happy with the quality of work. All debris was cleaned up after work was performed. We will definitely recommend this company to others.

After reviewing Angie's List, we contacted this service for an estimate. A few days later, as scheduled, Jim Walsh walked our lot with us. We explained what we wanted, he offered good recommendations and we discussed the service needed. A detailed, written estimate was provided free of charge. The following week, the work was performed to our complete satisfaction. The following day, we mailed the check and a thank you note to Jim and his crew.

I called for an estimate to remove branches at my recently-deceased uncle's house. Some were hanging on the garage roof and others near the house were providing squirrels with too-easy access. I had a few conversations with Jim, a nice guy with a fun sense of humor, who was very responsive. He sent an estimate that offered options for trimming only, as well as for his suggestion to remove two trees that aren't in great shape. He also recommended removing two elms by the garage, but the biggest branch on the roof is from a box-elder, so his review of the property was a bit off. His bid was reasonable. However, we decided to use a company with a slightly lower price and a more accurate site map.

Jim and company were very knowlegable. Their recommendations were prudent and reasonable as well as their pricing. Everyone was easy to communicate with and very polite.

When I called Vineland to get an estimate, the receptionist was very helpful and was willing to work with my budget. Jim came out promptly on a Saturday to give me an estimate. The crew did a great job. At first, I was a little concerned about some of the trees having grown into the powerlines, but the crew know what they were doing. Vineland did a great job. I would recommend them to my friends.

I had three companies bid on this job. One said to just cut the tree down, he looked at for just about 30 seconds. The other gave me a higher price for not as much work as Vineland. The Walsh family seemed to care about my tree, and I appreciated that. When the job was more than they originally imagined they worked with me to complete the job to my satisfaction. Even coming out a couple of times after the initial trimming to discuss next steps and trim a bit more until I was happy. They were terrific. I was impressed with their safety considerations, their clean-up details, and their concern for my satisfaction.

These guys were great. They took the time to discuss the job with me so that I understood everything they were going to do, and they understood my expectations. They walked through with me afterward to make sure I was satisfied with the job.

Jim was on time, called back promptly, and the work was done well and as promised.

The company was easy to work with and were considerate of our time. We feel we received good service for what we paid and are pleased with the work.

Job 1: I would hire this company again! They were professional, friendly, efficient, and did an excellent clean-up job. Job 2: I called The Vineland Group to come back and trim some trees that I had overlooked that needed to be trimmed the first time that they were here, and it was perfect timing that day. They had been in my area and they were able to come that same day and trim and clean up. It is rare to be able to get same day service, especially with a good company. I will be calling them back to do even more work.

Jim and his employees; most of which seemed to be related in some way, couldn't have been more courteous and responsive. I was called back quickly and they did an estimate the day after and called to confirm appointment the day before the job was done. Their bid was significantly lower than the others and Jim was the nicest to work with and really knew his stuff. He doesn't just take out trees he really cares for them and it shows. The work was completed efficiently, they explained everything they did, and enjoyed their work. I'll be calling them again in the future.

I was totally impressed with Vineland and would hire them again in a heartbeat. Jim Walsh gave me a free estimate, for which other companies I called charge a fee. Their receptionist was also very pleasant. Jim spent time explaining everything about my trees to me. I was impressed with his knowledge, courteousness, honesty, and price. He was the only bidder who diagnosed a problem with one of my trees correctly. Even though the prognosis for the tree was not good, I appreciated how thorough he was in helping me understand the situation. He and his two sons showed up on time, were very careful while doing the work, cleaned up very nicely, and did an overall super job.

They did a fantastic job. They were here when they said they would. They cleaned up and were very efficient. They were so efficient my neighbor hired them. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

Jim was great to work with. His knowledge and skill were very much appreciated. He performed the work quickly and to our specifications. In addition, his price was very competitive. We were very pleased with Vineland and would definitely use them again! The entire experience exceeded our expectations.

The receptionist, Jim (who did the quote), and the Arborists were all extremely pleasant, professional, and courteous. Connor and Seamus, the Arborists, were a pleasure to deal with. (The amount we were quoted was below their minimum of $250 because they were in the area and I could be flexible about them coming over on short notice to do this job, which only took about 10 minutes.)

Very quick turn around and did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Very satisfied with their work.

They were on time, professional, offered wonderful advice and suggestions for obtaining a well pruned, natural look with the lilacs which would encourage new growth. They were accommodating, gracious and did excellent work.

Jim Walsh was the epitome of professional! He came to our house (right away) and not only gave an estimate, but assessed our tree as well (at no extra charge)! Jim & his crew (family-owned company) took great care to protect our lawn from the weight of their truck (by using plywood under the tires)! They also removed the debris on our perennial garden so carefully, that we were able to salvage our perennials! Their clean up was absolutely immaculate!! They even raked out the debris that was in the holes that the tree left in our yard!! They were quick, efficient, knowledgeable, pleasant, professional...and the price was right! I would highly recommend this tree service to anyone...in fact, I WILL recommend this tree service to EVERYONE!

Jim was quick to respond to my phone calls and emails and was willing to get the job done within a quick timeframe. The crew was prompt, efficient and very informative. They were all very friendly and personable as well! Great experience!
